  1. you can't lay the blame at Southwark alone. London-wide, we have no real alternative to restricting car driving. The population of Greater London is steadily rising - bear in mind that from 1940-90 it declined from 8 to 6.5 million. It's currently around 9 million and growing at twice the national rate, by 120,000 a year. There is no room for new or wider roads. Then there's the pollution of the air. Affecting us all.

We have to move around as much as we can by walking, public transport and cycling rather than the car. If everyone had cars at the rate of people in Dulwich Village, the roads would be gridlocked almost the whole time. Uber cars crusing around waiting for riders help to clog things up even further, though they're obviously useful to some.

  2. According to Which? there's not much between Dyson ans Shark - except the price.

The best of each in their latest survey was

Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal 2 (?299) and the

Shark Lift Away True Pet NV601UKT (?184).

Even cheaper - and as good - was the AEG X Force VX6-2-CB-P (?99).

  3. If the pressure keeps dropping, it means you have a leak somehwere in your system.

If it's below your ground floor then there may not be any sign of a leak.

You can use Fernox F4 Express Leak Sealer which you insert in a radiator bleed nodule and it usually sorts the problem.
