  1. Didi dinos - formerly crystal palace one o clock club just inside crystal palace park do parties too, find them via their face book page. Would also enable a trip to the dinosaurs!
  2. Bubbly bees- yes went on Thursday quite recently.
  3. Leasehold advisory service (Google them) are useful and I'm fairly sure they have a helpline, good luck.
  4. Diddi dance is great for toddler and baby - wear baby in a sling and dance with your toddler!
  5. I've eaten at Aqua shard and although it was pricey the views and atmosphere was good. Enjoy!
  6. Sadly the messy play group in rockbourne youth club didn't start back up after the summer holidays. It was a fantastic group, haven't found anything like it elsewhere!
  7. I think you would be ok with this. I have had john lewis curtains made to measure before and in my opinion the 2.5 widths they do is a bit excessive especially if it is a blackout lining - I think you would get away with a smidgen under double width. Good luck.
  8. I have seen a few girls recently going to grey coats school going in via herne hill to Victoria - it's about a 15 min walk or 5 min on high frequency bus (507) from Victoria. And have seen a few going in from Peckham rye - Victoria too. Herne hill route much easier. Looks doable but would need a lot of stamina I think especially in first couple of years. Good luck x
  9. Pizza express bankside or the real Greek bankside about 10 mins walk x
  10. We have this too with ur toddler and using gp prescribed thick emollient cream and cleanser to wash with, need to prevent skin drying out as that can cause it to flare up (in our case) so tring to apply at least twice a day. Good luck x
  11. Most nurseries don't seem to offer just one day a week as they say it's harder for children to settle in. Personally I think it depends on the child as to whether they would settle on just one day. Good luck.
  12. Yes thank you - very entertaining stories and good to know random political trivia about the area!
  13. I have worked on large infrastructure projects. The main courses on project management that I've come across are the prince 2 qualification and also courses run by the association of project management- I've done the APM ones so can only really comment on those. There are three different levels for the APM qualifications. First is an introductory course which is done over 1-2 days an a short multiple choice exam. Then the APMP course which is a five day intensive tuition course plus written three hr exam at the end, you would need a bit of projects experience for the latter course I think but not sure is compulsory - doesn't have to be work, could be e.g. Managing house refurb relevant too. Finally a apm practitioners exam which you definitely need a good lot of projects experience to take. Good luck!
  14. Canonbie rd in forest hill / honor oak behind the horniman- the road gets closed I believe.
  15. Like everyone else, ignore the hv. You might find another one in the practice gives different advice. My son was off the chart - fully breastfed- and began solids just before 6 months (he was 23 pounds then). Our hv didn't tell us to wean early on account of his size. As I understand just because they're big doesn't mean digestive system is more mature / ready for solids Good luck
  16. We have a wriggly older baby and our bedrooms aren't heated at night so we have the 3.5 tog sleeping bag from jojos. In the 2.5 I found his hands were getting icy cold and he was waking which I put down to getting too cold when wriggling out of blankets. The jojos one was the most reasonable price wise that I found.
  17. It's a universal vaccine I believe for 2/3 yr olds but they had to be 2 on 1st sept to get the vaccine. We are with forest hill rd gp and they wrote to us about it.
  18. Have done so all my life living in London, 30 plus years and never been burgled.. But clearly we have been fortunate, won't be doing this any more!
  19. I woke at 04.50 this morning and although very sleepy am fairly sure I heard the keys in the lock jingling as if someone were trying to push them out of the lock from outside. We are behind wood vale. Needless to say I will be removing keys from lock tonight and placing them away from door.
  20. I did manage get an appointment with the firm in forest hill (but didn't do it in the end as not quite ready) but I did make the appointment back in October, I called them.
  21. Hi there Has anyone got a recommendation for a good reasonably priced solicitor for drafting a (what I think will be) fairly straightforward set of wills for a married couple? Have done a search on the forum but not much coming up. Thanks in advance!
  22. Aqua shard Restaurant on 32nd floor of the shard has a bar. Views are amazing. I don't believe you have to book but worth checking.
  23. Panache Sophie bra which is nursing but they have small back sizes and large cup sizes.. From bravissimo http://www.bravissimo.com/products/lingerie/nursing-bras/sophie-nursing-bra/black/pnl7bl/
