Just tell them they're making baby pigeons!! It's perfectly natural. Your kids will take it on board and ignore it.

Abusive people in Dulwich Park just now

Legally, anyone under the age of 18 years is a minor, that is a child, whether or not that minor is mature for their age or not. Two 'mature' adults bullying a teenager, child or adult is unacceptable and maybe you should have focused on that. -

I went to the Rosendale Rd centre this morning for a booked appointment. Masssive queue for booked appointments (heading all along the shops past The Sicilian deli and round the corner into a side road) and also a queue for those without appointment. As I'm disabled and couldn't stand in a queue I felt rather overwhelmed and gave up when my return taxi arrived. I'm now trying to rebook an appointment. Update: I had to wait until this morning to rebook, but (in comparison to yesterday) got through to online booking very quickly early this morning for an appointment next Monday. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again!! Fingers' crossed the Boris effect will have reduced next week.

I have a large letter (Stylist subscription?) for J Bresson, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, Underhill Rd, SE22 0QP which has ended up with me at the South Circular end of Underhill. The postcode relates to the area above the cemetery but I have no more information than that for the correct destination address. I thought I would try on here before handing it back to the postman.

Direct link to fundraising page: https://gogiveone.org/ 'As we get into the spirit of giving this festive season, how about a gift that could save a life ? a Covid-19 vaccine for a person in need? Created by the WHO Foundation, Go Give One is a campaign to fund vaccines in the world?s poorest countries. Almost 7 billion Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered globally but just 3 per cent of people in low-income countries have had a jab. With the risk of mutations like Omicron, vaccine inequity and rising infection rates impact us all. For a donation of as little as ?4, Go Give One will buy a Covid-19 vaccine for someone in the world who needs it. The campaign hopes to get 50 million people around the world to participate over the Christmas season. Getty Images Dr Thato Mosehle, an advocate for Go Give One, says that ?we live in a world of the haves and have nots and it is unfortunate that we are seeing the same trend when it comes to the Covid-19 vaccines. Without truly equitable access to the life-saving vaccines, we will never be able to curb the threat of the new variants, which ultimately affects us all.? The Omicron variant was identified last week in southern Africa, where vaccination rates are still low. All donations made by December 31 will be matched by the ELMA Vaccines and Immunization Foundation, organisers say, packing this virtuous stocking filler with even more of a punch.' I'm towards the South Circular end of Underhill Rd on the Horniman/Wood Vale side of the road. I've semi-seen/been aware of a raptor attack once before but disturbed it thus saving the pigeon! I get lots of magpies and jays in the garden and there are crows about as well.

Had a visit from a Sparrowhawk this morning. Disturbed by a commotion in the garden and later saw feathers but no pigeon, so hopefully it escaped. Two magpies tried to bully the Sparrowhawk off the fence and it moved to the planter. It stayed for a little while. Haven't seen one so close before - 4-5 m from window.

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2021/nov/15/number-of-children-injured-after-school-ceiling-collapses-in-london 'A number of children have been taken to hospital after a ceiling collapsed at a school in Dulwich, south London. The second-floor ceiling of the Rosemead preparatory school collapsed on Monday morning, the London fire brigade said. About 20 firefighters and three fire engines were called to the incident on Thurlow Park Road. A number of people were treated on the scene for minor injuries and some children were taken to hospital by London ambulance crews. All other children and staff were safely evacuated from the building. Helen Hayes, the Labour MP for Dulwich and West Norwood, tweeted: ?Very concerned to hear of the collapse of a ceiling at Rosemead School this morning. My thoughts are with the children, staff and parents. I hope no one is seriously injured. I?ve contacted the school to offer my support. My thanks to the emergency services who attended the scene.? Firefighters carried out a systematic search of the building and confirmed with the school that all pupils and staff were accounted for. The London fire brigade (LFB) was called at 9.22am and the incident was over by 11.50am. A specialist urban search and rescue team and equipment were also used to confirm the building was ?at no further risk of collapse?, a statement from the LFB said.'
