  3. Not just pubs, please. I had family in the area in the early 1900s and would love to see what LL, for example, looked like before it was bombed in WW2. This particular branch lived in a house now supplanted by Marks & Spencers!!
  4. Don't forget to register your cat (or dog for that matter) and their microchip number on one of the databases. I use Identibase (www.identibase.co.uk) which Celia Hammond sign cats up to when they microchip them. Makes reuniting missing pets that much easier.
  5. Forest HIll Cars have always been well-priced and reliable when I have used them both to drop off and collect from airport (Heathrow in my case).

  14. Please join us at 6PM on Tuesday 28th May outside Downing Street to protest Israel's horrific assault on Rafah. The images coming from Rafah last night will be seared on the memories of all who saw them. ... It is now more important than ever that we come together to demand that our government ends its complicity with this genocide. The UK must force Israel to adhere to the ICJ ruling to cease its assault on Rafah and stop all arms sales to Israel. We hope to see as many of you as possible tomorrow in London to send a message which can't be ignored. Thank you for your continued support of the Palestinian people and your tireless campaigning for a ceasefire. In Solidarity, Simon Foster Deputy Director, PSC

  19. 'We have launched a six-month trial called Access DLR to help make journeys on the DLR more accessible. This pre-booked assistance is available seven days a week, between 07:00 and 19:00 each day for anyone aged 18 and over. Access DLR is for anyone who needs support to travel. No proof of disability is required to use the service. You will be met by a member of staff at the DLR station of your choice and accompanied until you reach the final DLR station on your journey. Assistance can be booked online or by phone on 08082 81 66 55 (call charges may apply). As the DLR stations are not staffed, the service needs to be pre-booked. If it is not pre-booked, assistance cannot be guaranteed. This is initially being run as a trial until November 2024. You can find out more about Access DLR on our website. Every station on the DLR has step-free access.'

  21. Thank you for replying muffins78. Anything to improve the descriptions and timings will be fantastic. Dulwich Woods SNT has said that any cctv footage, information, photographs etc can be emailed to them with the CAD number and they will forward it on to the investigating team: [email protected]
  22. Good evening neighbours in the vicinity of 10 Underhill Road, between the South Circular and Melford Road, I am posting a call-out for potential witnesses or security camera/ video doorbell footage on behalf of the owner in respect of a burglary in the early evening of Easter Sunday. Please contact the police non-emergency number (101) quoting CAD number 5131/31Mar24 if you saw anything or have any information. Between approximately 1900 and 1945, still in daylight, two men broke into the building works currently ongoing at 10 Underhill Rd and stole a considerable amount of tools and equipment. I spotted them at about 1935 and called the police, but it is likely they were there for sometime beforehand. The police attended at about 1945, a couple of minutes after the thieves had driven off towards Melford Rd/Barry Rd. The men returned later on that evening, at approximately 2100, and re-entered the property, stealing further equipment. You may have been surprised to see two 'builders' in the early evening on Easter Sunday going back and forth, carrying tools and equipment from the front door of the house, through the barriers at the front of the property and loading them into a dark grey, small hatchback car parked directly in front of the property on the street. You may have seen one of them climbing a ladder at the front of the house and covering a security camera located on the scaffolding at first floor level with a black bin bag. Maybe you saw them when they returned at around 9pm. Suspect 1: - male, white, 60s+, heavily lined/wrinkled face (weathered), white/grey hair and possible short white beard, medium height (5’6’’/5’7’’?), small build - wearing yellow hi-vis gilet (no sleeves) over dark clothes, black beanie-type hat, although could see hair colour below Suspect 2: - male, darker/olive complexion, 40s-50s, similar height, dark hair, clean-shaven smooth face. - wearing dark jacket (possibly fleece)
  23. Depends on the medicine dispensed, or did you mean writing a prescription that will be fulfilled elsewhere? I think last time that came up it was £40c for writing a prescription, but that was a while ago. However, on looking at the price list online, a prescription charge is listed as £29.50, so it has improved [https://www.theneighbourhoodvet.co.uk/about-us/prices].
