People will though as the more publicly and louder you moan the quicker someone at senior level will say "sort it out I don't care how" whilst people who make little fuss get put to the back of the queue. I once effectively agreed to edit a bad review as part of a settlement. Trust Pilot is the review site of the moment - and to be fair lots of good reviews as well as bad (and bad reviews are intrinsically more likely IMHO). Edit: The caveat is that serial complainers eventually get their comeuppance
  2. You just know Assad won't change anything.
  3. So the S400 remained Off as it were. "the Russian Ministry of Defence said it had consciously not engaged its own defence systems."

Watched Russia Today this morning - they interviewed some Arsenal fans who said how much they loved Moscow and the Russian people when visiting for the match. Might have been fake news of course as it was followed by a rant about UK and US :).
  5. The Peckham Rye Music Festival (Copeland Park & some pubs around Rye Lane + the bakery) is cancelled - The first post in the facebook link "It is with great regret that we are having to cancel the 2018 edition of the Peckham Rye Music Festival. We will of course issue a full refund to all ticket holders immediately." https://www.facebook.com/PeckhamRyeFest/?hc_ref=ARRo_4TdQhyoCYjHki8ihpHrAh_fShMjlyHS2Z5NV1HbHMwtLKijecDl8Iszc_GK81Q&fref=nf

I managed to create a load of chlorine in my bathroom when I mixed some cleaning agents so you don't need to be an expert chemist as I found out.
  7. Trumps fervent followers swear there will be no war and Trump will bring Assad to the negotiating table after a load of threats (to be fair it seemed to work on Kim - was it luck? ). Apparently it's all written in "The Art of the Deal" (a man who wrote a book with that title just must have studied Sun Tzu in detail yes :) )

Thats the Peckham Rye Music Festival - the one in Copeland I think https://www.facebook.com/PeckhamRyeFest/?hc_ref=ARRo_4TdQhyoCYjHki8ihpHrAh_fShMjlyHS2Z5NV1HbHMwtLKijecDl8Iszc_GK81Q&fref=nf
  9. I often get charged less for "No2 all over" as there's no styling required.

Trumps placing the order. This tweet just sounds like a child - but maybe he's not going to attack now - that leaves May looking out of the loop. @realDonaldTrump Never said when an attack on Syria would take place. Could be very soon or not so soon at all! In any event, the United States, under my Administration, has done a great job of ridding the region of ISIS. Where is our ?Thank you America??
  11. Police seem to be treading very carefully https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2018/apr/11/hither-green-standoff-continues-as-tributes-to-intruder-removed-again

An Italian at a motor station somewhere on the way from Venice to Trento once exchanged my 1000 Lira note for a fruit machine token :( I sometimes actually wonder what 12 year old me was doing detached from the group talking to locals on a school skiing trip. I was really innocent.
  13. For some reason these people seem to be known as "Nottingham Knockers"
  14. It's difficult for teenagers to ask for change if a tip is assumed or if they're short changed (it was for me anyway at that age)
  15. FFS Trump @realDonaldTrump 10 minutes ago Russia vows to shoot down any and all missiles fired at Syria. Get ready Russia, because they will be coming, nice and new and ?smart!? You shouldn?t be partners with a Gas Killing Animal who kills his people and enjoys it!
  16. getting serious now. Looks like USA, Britain and France may attack Syria and Russia hinting it'll shoot down missiles (and maybe where the missiles came from - that's ships and planes I think) I get the feeling Theresa May might be the dove out of Macron, May and Trump.
  17. I don't particularly like the Daily Mail myself - but they've run a story on this. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5595029/Neo-Nazi-group-claims-Hitler-right-inflammatory-posters-London.html (and quoted us all)
  18. Don't like destroying tributes - but this was a threat in many peoples view. Flowers removed to a nearby churchyard apparently. https://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/moment-furious-man-destroys-shrine-to-dead-burglar-henry-vincent-who-was-stabbed-to-death-by-a3809846.html
  19. @Nero was a bit of a an idiot on Twitter before he got banned (but I doubt he'd turn up on the EDF).
  20. Does Rye Lane count It's full of all kinds of things (Land snails included) and (like me) I think the authorities see it as the culture of the lane :)
  21. That's a horrible link - there's a lot of threats there - many I could take personally.
  22. Evening Standard quoting security minister Ben Wallace "In Britain, IS and far-Right extremists have been grooming people with autism to turn them towards violence." https://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/purge-of-extremist-workers-on-london-transport-a3807521.html
  23. flocker spotter Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > most of the worlds present ills are caused by > people googling things and declaring their new > found expertise ( not aimed at you JohnL) That's probably true. Immediately googling everything you hear is actually a bad habit and can cause trouble.
  24. Whilst googling Lunatic I now know that Dotard (as used by Kim Jong Un about Trump) is "an old person, especially one who has become weak or senile".

Probably thought they'd come back. Someone once showed me how easy it is to open a door if you don't engage all the security bits (double locks) - way too easy.
