  1. Sarah Jane Mee saying they won't let what happened in the stadium be forgotten (that's the safety and violence issues).
  2. Just had a look - website slow and lots of "There was a problem in processing your request. Please contact your Leisure Centre/Club for further assistance." Not sure their system is doing well.
  3. Gary Neville on Sky News laying into Boris Johnson as a bad example.

Boris bright them, never used, Sadiq sold them I think - not sure why (someone tell me against EU rules:) )
  5. It's going to rain soon - so the crazy stuff will calm down soon
  6. They cut away so quickly - the guys she was interviewing were well over 6 foot so I guess they stepped in.
  7. Sky News Reporter - Becky - sounded scared and then I think she got assaulted live on air.
  8. Looks like Leicester Square's been trashed. Not sure if the Police are going to let it go or get aggressive today.

But it's been hijacked a bit. If they'd been allowed to play live before the match i wonder how they would have played it - bombastic or as it was originally. But UEFA banned it.
  10. I went to Madrid with my Spurs supporting mate a few years ago - I just went for the beer - and we went in the Madrid end of the Bernabeu. They all could see we were British - but nobody said anything just a few smiles and nudges - and I had a huge grin.
  11. Economist article which you probably can't see but it's first person. https://www.economist.com/diary/2021/07/09/a-night-to-forget-the-english-fans-that-embarrass-their-country
  12. diable rouge Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I'm pretty sure I heard someone in the crowd at > Wimbledon shout that tennis was coming home after > Barty's win...:) many animate and inanimate objects had it suggested they are "coming 'ome" this week.
  13. I wonder who told Boris that some countries don't like it - and if he wants a 2030 world cup he has to be nice. Wasn't Merkel around not long ago.
  14. Not sure if the "avoid confrontation" comment is a bit of sarcasm ? (on victim blaming)
  15. Boris has twigged that saying "it's coming home" is annoying the other countries so he's asked ministers not to say it.. https://www.politicshome.com/news/article/leaked-email-shows-ministers-being-urged-not-to-say-its-coming-home

The team and the manager are decent people but this Euro20 hasn't been that well organised - I prefer it in one country.

Some can't take their drink very well - Rye Lane was just singing its coming home and a lot of cars beeping - didn't see any trouble.
  18. But the 'Patriots' were booing the team because they took the knee
  19. Picked up by BBC now - why would the rest of the bus cheer an assault. Should all be ashamed of themselves. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-57779541
  20. Yeah - slow process - police seek an order - they break it - and eventually they won't be allowed in the area. It has to start at some point though if it's intolerable.
  21. Over a year ago this thread mentions Australia and NZ pursuing an elimination policy - and they still are. Another short sharp lockdown in Sydney starts after cases went up to 44. They're still going for a total elimination policy. This totally conflicts with our policy and shows the world has no consistent policy. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-57773917
  22. I know a bit of French and no German but sometimes you don't have to ... https://www.blaetter.de/ausgabe/2021/juli/die-politik-der-luege
  23. The urban myths were mostly invented by this journalist called Boris Johnson.

That's what SEOs do (Search Engine Optimisation engineers) They are really in demand.
  25. 40+ degrees in the summer is only a few years off - everybody else seems to have had a dose of it this year.
