This is the question I have also - to any fresh food retailer fish especially has to be same day - but what to do with the unsold items anyone know ? Not so sure Words can denigrate some groups allowing others to feel secure in the real discrimination. StraferJack Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I don't think calling well off white people > "honkys" constitutes racism. Prejudice maybe. Just read Michael Laudrup's press conference from yesterday - strange.

I'm not us/them - plenty of room for both - I can think of a few empty units. There was an open shop in Swansea selling fish I remember as a boy (MacFisheries - a chain ?) - I didn't like the smell of that - so the fish smell for me is personal - even though I like fish to eat. I'd prefer to buy when I know it's been caught a few hours previous too (Billingsgate). The demograph is changing now and Rye Lane will change - maybe slowly as it has before. I moved here in 2007 and since then we lost Currys, Woolworths, WHSmith that I can remember. I don't deny I'd like a few coffee shops etc - notice the burned out shop/house and the old Greggs next to it is still burnt out, never mind the terrace behind the bus stop(rats live there) - there's room certainly.
  8. Caution will mess up there life for a while - maybe more (If they care). Parents need to explain this to them.

Don't forget the people who live there, like me. The bakery went through a phase where it had late night street raves - I have a great photo of the street packed at 2:00AM - I don't mind this but families probably do - there were a few complaints on our estate noticeboard and it stopped. Rye lane will change - blocks of flats with city workers in are being built and more are planned - obviously these people are allowed a say in the future - they can't be disenfranchised.
  10. Saw a cyclist run into another cyclist today during the total confusion outside Blackfriars. The trains stopping there meant total pedestrian chaos which led to traffic and cyclist chaos as they tried to get across the road.

Thing he means we should try and tolerate it, as we no doubt do bad stuff too. Would be a bit hypocritical of pedestrians wandering in the middle of the road looking at iPhone texts to criticise the cyclist on the pavement.
  12. Nobody is under any obligation. Some people prefer a relaxed manner of life and take the risk of the hit.

Lot more history than that I think. Swans board doesn't sack usually - not in 10 years - but issues with the agent, the fact everyone seems to think ML was leaving in the summer and as the board said, the gradual erosion of Swansea's principles. Chico didn't do any play acting against Cardiff - so maybe a Garry Monk had a quiet word. Stoke - Swansea next up - not one I would have gone for the Swans in - but will be interesting if they can get a point.
  14. not against eCigerettes - they're better than the real thing - but find something not right about this advert. Is it that demographic that smokes still - should we be portraying smokers as young and healthy, really ?.

  16. The logical answer would be for employers and employees to move somewhere other than London in the future. Not that it is happening yet.
  17. Victoria and Montpellier now filled with people heading to Bussey building on weekends now. 18. not any different than a one way system every few years whatever system is used will change however.
  19. A dog really should drop what ever it's doing and come when whistled or called - and should especially never be off the lead if it doesn't. As a youngster, I remember my mother spending hours with our dog teaching it this. Still there and good for a pint (seems like a lot of lawyers talking business when I went in) Like a church at the back still with the booths :) Jah Lush Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Yeah! Bad reviews there - although ok when I popped in. But still not sure of the divisions :) david_carnell Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Jah Lush Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > I loved working in Holborn though it is 20 > years > > since I did. 22. You should be able to ask the bus company to hold any footage googled this - https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/request_cctv_footage_bus_19_to_f#outgoing-288582 easyman Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The bus company will not release the footage to > you or me because of data protection laws. 23. Mind you - I used to feel like beating my old car. Think I ended up kicking it's exhaust pipe once. 24. Outside of London you'd do it - but here even if I feel charitable - I assume the story is a lie and I won't see anything back. Would be sad if one day the tale is true, SBot Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I've been conned out of ?5 like this, a young lady > knocks on the door, claims to be a resident of > your street, she needs cash for her meter to feed > her baby/kids, says she'll pay you back in the > morning! 25. A few years ago the EDT had a large Welsh contingent on 6 nations matchdays. On the subject of Welshness I remember ... GwladRugby forum used to have a question to test your Welshness It was such a simple, obvious question too - unless you weren't ;) The Welsh Language club in Cardiff (Clwb Ifor Bach was it) had a question the bouncers asked you too - in Welsh. But it was apparently always the same (allegedly) - so not hard to cheat.
