So do we prepare by felling trees that are within falling distance of a line ? Doesn't seem right for a once in 30 years !! If it happened every year however. ianr Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > > but does it really mean we need to come to a > standstill? > > Have we? N&P owned by Yorkshire - and they have a 10 year fix too However - be sure you're not too much of a free spirit as ... "And to break out of the mortgage early, the fees are hefty ? for the first three years this is set at seven per cent of the amount borrowed. " .. "the deal is portable and so can be taken with you to a new property ? but the lender will need to approve the move at the time and there is no guarantee the lender will be able to meet any change in your requirements" http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/mortgageshome/article-2314715/Yorkshire-BS-relaunches-10-year-fixed-mortgage-comes-fee-free.html Loz Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > stecoward101 Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > Kidkruger - This was not an assumption this was > a fact. Some people are always going to gamble they will have a higher salary in 5 years. and a few of those will lose. I was in negative equity until recently (with a flat) New builds in 2007 were priced above the peak. I'm another who keeps a lookout for the badges. If someone asks - there's a queue of men willing to move. When it was packed like today - it would be difficult to get near the seats to ask. -

There really should be guards ensuring this, and ensuring the train is evenly balanced etc. But I never see any. Today if one person had lost their footing we would all have gone down like a pack of cards. Some people stayed on the platform at Peckham Rye and didn't even try. Trains have no capacity limit (unlike buses) - but I'd hate to be in an incident on a train like that. One of the 8:40 odd trains was cancelled this morning - so worst ever. Usually happens when the children are off - strange that engines know that :) -
I think the Police Station is a red herring You could base Police at Tesco - as long as you had enough. Jessie Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > 'And? True - we've been here before as well - but lots of people just out to make a fast buck in the boom before the next bust and that will drive prices for now. rahrahrah Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Rates will have to go up eventually. just noticed the 'paired' thread to this about rents. higher rental income will push prices up as well. -

As interest rates go up - that's when interest only will rise it's (ugly) head again and other financial tools to keep the boom on for a few years. I pay 6% on my shared ownership property - time to buy more percent and pay a bit less if I can. -
Barnet used to have privatised people who patrolled - not sure how it worked. I jokingly used to call them the vigilantes.

First they took photos of the dog foulers, then they took photos of the canoodlers and philanderers and finally they took photos of everybody, just in case. It is generally a bad idea if you have anything you would rather people not know. get the dog wardens out - and bring back a dog tax. Changed massively since the 70s - when I went where I wanted (until my sister hurt herself on a rope swing). Which means abductions/abuse should be much, much lower as there is less opportunity. Yep - Agree on the drill and fill My dentist always drilled the tiniest hole - then later in life the fillings came out.
