This is how I feel in London, now. However in Cities further afield in the past (not that long ago) some amazingly bad things were said on a daily basis. So maybe it's a reaction - and will all mellow out. Yep - unfortunately its whats perceived and there's no judge to rule... So you have to just avoid saying anything that you have experienced others saying as racist - even if its preposterous or maybe a joke. Someone took issue with a well known IT term last week - so now I say active/passive. I also remember seeing some girls getting accosted - and one of them looking across the road (at me!!) and saying 'excuse me, officer' The muggers ran without looking.

Yes been there Although I usually have to be the assailant - grab somebody's wrist - and they bend it back (ouch) then scarper before I recover. tarafitness Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I'm not translating it into anything else, this is > what you appear to be doing. > > > Just don't assume that automatically being able > to fight is one of the benefits > > The sessions aren't teaching him how to fight, > they're teaching him how to get out of a situation > and run away, it's quite the opposite of what you > are saying.

Whilst doing Karate a few of the instructors were into Krav Maga and Kapap Wouldn't say it was a shrinking violet of a martial art :)

My experience was that everything was 'switched off' very quickly within hours without consultation. I know this person was scared of being 'a vegetable' - but it left me worried - especially as the police apparently appeared and very quickly disappeared - so somebody referred it to them. Nobody wanted to talk about it much - so got left with questions on my mind even though I was one of the closest relatives - wonder if there was a living will. malumbu Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > My experience was that this was not patient led. > My mother had lost consciousness a day or more > before and was not going to recover. You would say it's not his fault But the same stuff happens - Ospreys, Saracens, Toulon, Cardiff, Bath All was well at London Welsh - except they got relegated :( Mick Mac Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Gavin Hensen gets punched (knocked out) in a bar > by one of his new teammates. > > http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/gavin > -henson-video-shocking-moment-5075514

Jackons - why do we need another estate agent
JohnL replied to EDdownunder's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
They are like day loan shops and betting shops in Peckham, Better a shop that serves no useful function than an empty shop. -
I used to have to do this in my old fiesta - til the neede went down New car has no heat gauge. A close relative died last year and I actually did have a 'do not go gentle' moment (felt - well that was quick - can't they allow a fight). Obviously no 'pathway' was involved there, but something in me says if you fight hard enough, occasionally you might win against the odds and enjoy a few more years. That's the reaction that's happened I think - a feeling some people are being steamrollered into not fighting.

Pre knives and guns it used to be the case you made friends through a brief fight Kate08 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Do boys own their girlfriends? Love reading a newspaper properly - Guardian, Standard or refresh my memories from home Wales on Sunday/South Wales Evening Post - they're so indignant :) More and more picking and mixing bits from social media and websites - you end up reading Indian/Australian and mid US sites..

And we wonder why Payday Loan companies make a packet. What do credit unions do - quick google - same but much cheaper. ?

All the chains are so packed ;) In Covent Garden, I'm more likely to pop into the Freemasons or the Sun Isn't there a pub/restaurant upstairs in the Piazza (not punch & judy) which is unmarked ?? But I'm very pub oriented :)

It's not the money - but being treated like a fool that annoys those that get annoyed (your type A angry type). I think the little scrotes can tell when someone is fiery though and go for the placid type (your type b, happy type). I'd never recommend anybody take somebody on But I know I can't be certain of myself - control is actually something you learn.

Gatland has annoyed the Irish I think :) He was Irish coach for BODs first game too apparently - so they know him. The committee should be in charge of Ethos IMHO - Gatland has one job - WIN PLEASE Will still be supporting Lions this week - not Wales+
-
it's Gatland - with his reputation on the line he's gone back to playing what he knows best - we call it Gatlandball in Wales the Aussies call it Warrenball over there and some people say Cementball (Gatland is known as Cementhead in some circles) The Lions committee must have known what they were getting. In Wales alone people like Hook, Peel, Tipuric never fitted into his plan. and it has worked to an extent. This final test could be a brutal 'bloodbath' if played his way as the plan will be to bash them into submission. Rowntree and Farrell seemed to influence his thoughts on this in Rounds 1 and 2. A large amount of English player will come off the bench to 'close it'. He wants to play Gatlandball with the NH Ref Poite there. Very Surprised at BOD dropped - The Doc + BOD was my midfield all along. Still 23 Lions in the squad not 11 Welshmen 7 Englishmen 4 Irishmen 1 Scotsman in my view.

I must be an absolutely terrifying person never to have experienced anything in 7 years and I live in Co-Op House overlooking this wild west street. or are over 40's immune ?
