Good reasons :) But muting my phone and hiding it when it rings in case some greedy thief sees it is not me. I'm on an on call system too :) ElmGrove Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Nicholas Spears Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > Because you don't want to be run over by a car > you > > couldn't hear? > > > Yes, and because someone could be shouting a > warning to you about something which you also > wouldn't hear.

If you haven't done it - MS Indexing service seems a common thread in this BSOD after a quick google Sorry haven't used vista for a while :) so below is cut/past. Start, Run, and type services.msc and press enter. Once in the services window scroll down to "Indexing Service" and double-click it. In the Index Services Properties window change the startup type to either "Disabled" or "Manual". other than that - i used to manually remove drivers - display, network, mouse etc and go to basic ones to see if they were the issue, which is horrible.

Can you glean anything further from the blue screen - a driver name sometimes is shown at the bottom.

So many people seem to work in coffee shops and pubs (shocking :)) Not sure how long people actually stay - longer than you'd think.

Are you Windows 7 or Windows 8 Installed anything new recently ? Try looking at antivirus - uninstall ??

my cat hit by a car outside leisure centre
JohnL replied to a peace of cake's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Don't think a cat could live properly like that IMHO (although I know some put them on leads). Cats are different to dogs - as the law seems to take into account. Thought 484 bus 'service' couldn't get worse?
JohnL replied to Lee Scoresby's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I remember hearing the countdown isn't done on time but on where the bus is (one stop away etc.). if it's in the station - I can see then why it might say due. -
I still reserve the right to do so - when I so feel. IOS7 will brick it properly if stolen I hear. UncleBen Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Common technique amongst theiving scum. Sometimes > there are two of them. Do not use phones on the > street.

It's a game (as in everybody's trying to knock the other side down) Don't like any of it - but the Aussies are experts - Lions will walk into an ambush - hope we're up to it.

I think as in the bbc article linked that some people feel safer in the middle lane - I don't think they're trying to enforce a speed limit. There's more perceived space until they run off the road. L1 is full of lorries - at least every few 100 meters when I drive on motorways. you can move in after overtaking a lorry and out before the next lorry but you tend to find you get trapped in with the lorries if you don't time it perfectly then another large lorry trundles up behind and you're trapped between two lorries until all the traffic in the middle lane passes - which can be a while. This is not a fun way to drive. Twirly Wrote: > I have to admit to a slight bad habit myself with > regard to middle-lane driving.
