  1. It is Dawson Heights, not Dawsen Height. The original piece was fine. There was a brief mention in subsequent posts about social problems from some tosser who is not worth discussing. My girlfriend lives there and I spend about 75% of my time here and I love it. No problems whatsoever.
  2. Have any of you considered Wetherspoons pubs? The Capitol has a play area and there is a huge garden at The Fox on the Hill
  3. Although originally built by Southwark council, Dawson's Heights is now owned and managed by Southern Housing Asociation. The view from the top floor is amazing....especially during events such as New Year's Eve fireworks. And it is a nice place to live with very few problems.
  4. On investigation, my problem is internal to Bredinghurst. The water mains were turned off and then back on overnight and this sometimes causes airlocks which the caretaker in the flats is trying to fix.
  5. Am in Bredinghurst (Dawson Heights), Overhill road.... water definitely still off!
  6. Thinking about it, normally I would check the traffic but the bus stopped, I could not see past the bus and, mistakenly, assumed no idiot would overtake the bus there... you live and learn...
  7. The council some years ago improved Melford passage, off Overhill road, by paving the pasageway over. Unfortunately the steps at the top of the passage have not been improved and would greatly benefit from a handrail on those steps.
  8. I am always careful crossing traffic lights/ pedestrian crossings. Tonight I got off the train at East Dulwich station, said to my girlfriend that this is the best pedestrian crossing in London, as soon as you press the button the lights change. Voila, the lights changed, a bus stopped and we started crossing the road. Light on Green but some idiot in a car overtook the bus and just missed hitting me and my girlfriend by inches! Really not sure what you can do to stop this happening...... I suppose in future I will treat green lights as just a warning and not absolute. Beware!
