  1. Thank you. I think IKEA are now starting to do UK sizes but too late for us as we already have a barely used IKEA mattress.
  2. My goodness that is a terrible name, I shall google straight away, thank you.
  3. Hi I am trying to buy my teenage daughter a new bed which her current IKEA mattress will fit. She isn't sold on any of the IKEA ones. Are IKEA sizes continental? And could anyone recommend a shop where I could buy a continental bed/bed which the mattress will fit. Internet searches just bring up loads of ads for UK bed sellers. Thanks in advance
  4. Our children all learnt to ride on a little Dawes bike 12" wheel which cost ?50 in 2008. It's been passed on to friends and is still going strong. I think spending a lot of money on a kid's bike is a choice not a necessity. As long as it has proper wheels, not plastic, and tyres, it'll be good enough. We bought our eldest son a ridgeback when he was 8 and it lasted for 4 years. Now passed to younger son. If your son loves riding a bike he will learn on anything. I know too many people whose kids just don't have any interest in riding bikes and have expensive frogs and isla's sitting unused in their hallways. Check out Herne Hill Velodrome beginner classes if you want your son to try a proper bike - i think they have frogs.
  5. Not any more but I used to go back and meet up with friends at the Marian Vian Children's centre in Elmers end. We used the day nursery on Kingshall Road for a little while, there is also a nursery in Cator park which looks nice. A friend got her children into the sure start nursery in Penge which was very cheap, but probably has a very long waiting list.
