Quick thumbs up for the Cherry Tree. Enjoyed their 2-course midweek lunch offer a couple of times. Nice service, much cosier inside than before and decent menu/drinks selection. Hope it does well.

Gumboots Nursery and reccomendations
larrylandell replied to larrylandell's topic in The Family Room Discussion
We've put our name down for gumboots, mother goose and first steps but won't know until next June if we have a place, all three said 1 1/2-2 year waiting list so have our fingers crossed that that isn't true but unfortunately sounds as though it might be the case from other posts on here. -
Hi, I just wanted to give a recommendation for Philip Quinn. He's just fitted some custom built shaker style wardrobes for us into alcoves and also added drawers and shelves to some existing built in wardrobes. He also primed and painted them. He lives locally and did a great job, was tidy, pleasant to deal with and his quote was also reasonable. We're really pleased with his work and the wardrobes look lovely. His number is: 07701 097779 Email: [email protected]

Gumboots Nursery and reccomendations

Thanks for all the responses and advice. Really appreciate it :) -
Hello, We're wanting to get onto the waiting list for gumboots nursery, among others, having heard so many positive reviews. When I heard from them they said that we can only register when the child is born but that currently the waiting list is approx. 2 years from registration. I'm confused, they say that they accept children from the age of 6 months - 5 years but with the two year waiting list how can anyone ever get a space under two years old? Has anyone been able to register their child there recently before the child has been born? We live on Landells Road and would ideally like to find a nursery within walking distance if possible, does anyone have any recommendations for nurseries in the area? I'm currently nearly 5 months pregnant and have been told by friends to get on waiting lists asap so have started the process and wanted some advice. Thanks for your help! :)

Agree with London Mix. Endless negativity by same people is annoying and invariably takes every posting off-topic. -
Hi, We live on Landells Road and are thinking of getting a side return extension next year and wondered if anyone had any good recommendations for a company that could do this. Thanks for your help!

New Indian take away on Lordship Lane
larrylandell replied to fg73's topic in Request a Tradesperson
First takeaway from Rajah and it was very good. Normally wouldn't bother writing a comment on a takeaway but this place is a good addition so worth a quick recommendation. -
My favourite restaurants in ED are Tandoori Nights and Thai Corner. And Great Exhibition for a Sunday roast. Franklins, Patch, Palmerston and ToastED are all nice too.

Attempted theft (out of my front garden) se22
larrylandell replied to Walker's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I live on Landells Road, SE22 and yesterday someone clearly tried to steal our planter outside our front door. Luckily it weighs a tonne so they only managed to drag it a yard or so. But wanted to raise awareness in case they try to strike again. -
