  1. Really good to hear Smiler! I've heard so many bad things, it is really encouraging to hear a positive experience.
  2. Thank you all for your advice, I spoke to the midwife today and she said it'll be easier for me to stay with Kings, 25 minutes in the car shouldn't be an issue. Bit of a weight off my mind!
  3. Right, I'm in a bit of difficult situation and I hope someone might be able to give me some advice. I'm 6 months pregnant, and have just had to move temporarily back to my parents house (with my partner, two cats and all our belongings) because of a complete **** up regarding what was supposed to be our new rented home. The problem is, my parents' house is in Sutton, and the local hospital is St Helier, statistically one of the worst in England (particularly for antenatal care). All of my appointments are still with Kings, and I will be moving back to the area, but it is looking very unlikely that this will be before the baby is born (partly because I can't cope with another move after doing it twice in one week). What I want to know is...are you allowed to stay with King's for appointments if you're no longer in the catchment area? Also, how feasible is it to drive 25 minutes to hospital in labour? The answers might seem obvious but it's my first baby and stress has fried my brain these last couple of weeks. Also, if anyone has anything good to say about St Helier, please pipe up and make me feel better. I felt really reassured by Kings, had heard only good things about it, and now I'm getting a bit nervous. Ta! Lx
  4. I definitely won't be able to make it this Saturday now, just in case anyone is booking a table. I'd really like to meet you all before the babies arrive though, so hopefully next time. Now, back to my 'end of tenancy cleaning'. Really regretting not getting a cleaner in... x
  5. I might be able to make Saturday 30th but I'll be moving into my new flat on the 29th, so it depends if I feel a need to escape my packing box fortress for a while. If not, do keep me posted on the next one.
  6. Thanks for the advice, I think I'll get a couple of traps and keep some aside for the new place.
  7. Advice please! Our flat is suddenly full of moths. Luckily we are moving in a few weeks but does anyone know how we can firstly get rid of them in the flat, then prevent taking any 'infestation' with us in our boxes? I don't want to use any toxic sprays if I can avoid it. Thanks!
  8. Hi everyone, thanks for the messages! I finally found somewhere - private landlords too, which made the whole process much cheaper and easier. Now I am just very excited about getting all our stuff boxed up and shipping out. So, I will officially be an East Dulwich resident on the 30th June, with plenty of time to get everything straight for baby in the autumn :) I don't actually know anyone in the area though, so if anyone is interested in a get together, count me in. x
  9. Hello everyone, my first is due 30th October! My boyfriend and I are looking at moving into the area from Herne Hill, because we're currently in a studio which is small for two of us, let alone three! Has anyone had the moving while pregnant situation? I'm getting a bit stressed to say the least... Hope you're all doing well. xx
