I have to say I really really like most of Gail's breads, even though my regular is Blackbird. They have good variety but my favourite is their "Waste Bread" created from unsold sourdough. Great idea and great sourdough taste. I should say I have no interest in any bakery except as a customer, so this is just my 100% honest opinion.

The Conway guys did a brilliant t job of resurfacing Underhill Rd last week. Lots of notices before. Helpful during. Very efficient and quick. They clearly knew what they were doing. Lordship lane is a bit harder because of the traffic volume but I'd be confident they know what they are about

We just had our Vaillant boiler and Megaflow tank serviced/repaired by Mark Newlove of New Gas Boilers. He had several recommendations on EDF and we would also recommend him. I'd recommend Steve Perkins 07951303984 [email protected] as a guy who can carry out small repairs on UPVC doors and windows - replacing a lock or a hinge, adjusting fitting, replacing a pane etc etc. I emailed him last night and he turned up as agreed before lunch today, and charged just 35 for perhaps half an hour work. Out French windows now open and close easily and there is no longer a cold draught coming in where they didn't close properly.

I found Callum on this forum. He turned up to discuss and do survey at agreed time and was polite, helpful, not pushy and well-informed. We had three option quotes in our mailbox within an hour or so, and after negotiating a 50 discount on the first year's monitoring, accepted one of the quotes, which was similar to another we had received from another company. He came and fitted the alarm on a Saturday morning, as agreed, and took about 3 hours. He was very good at explaining/teaching us the system and setting it up properly. We are very pleased with the quality of the work, an really like the smartphone app which tells us who has come on and out and allows us to set or unset the alarm remotely. Callum tells us he has been in business on his own for 9 months after learning the trade for several years with banhams. He lives in East Dulwich. If you need an alarm and want good service and to support local enterprise, try Callum. He deserves to be successful.

Richard 07984 146 615 just spent 10days painting the stairs in our very tall town house. He was a pleasure to havearound, not expensive, conscientious, happy to do a bit extra and we are very happy with the results. He said he prefers interior work. Happy to recommend him highly.
