A bit disappointing no to have the full details on this matter.
  2. Could be mine. Could you please communicate the long 16 digits number, expiry date and security code please ? Joke apart, very nice of you to report this. Nice to see that most people are honest :-)
  3. Argos please ! Or HSBC... ;-)
  4. No noise this morning !! Easterly winds !! Yes ! :-)))))))) Now I understand why I slept until 08:45 and not woken-up at 05:30 ! Just a shame easterly winds don't happen more often. And why did they build bloody Heathrow at the west side of the city ???????
  5. Indeed Sue. Fifth day in a row without planes ! And still counting ! So nice and quiet :-) Please Boris, build your estuary airport and it will be this quiet 70% of the year instead of 30% only.
  6. Hi, I know your thread was posted back in August, but I was wondering if you were still looking. I am sometimes free between 4 and 6. Let me know Thomas
  7. Sorsi y Morsi has been closed for a month. Real shame as it was a very decent Italian restaurant. 'Proper Italian few doors down' ????? No way !! This Franco Manca has everything wrong !!!
  8. Agreed with macutd. A ig town doesn't have to have planes on top of it. There are many big cities with no planes flying on top of them by simply having no airports on the West side of the city, which brings no noise at all (like Gatwick, Luton or Stansted)
  9. They are indeed. The calm didn't even last for a full day :-(
  10. Very true *Bob*. 30% to be precise http://www.heathrowairport.com/noise/heathrow-operations/wind-direction
  11. I couldn't agree more. The first plane (from Hong-Kong) lands at 04:30am if it benefits from tailwinds :-( No good for the light sleepers! No to mention the continuous noise the whole day, like you said.
  12. To all the people not noticing the aircraft noises on their way to Heathrow, today is easterly winds (which is sadly very rare), open your window and have a listen. Can't you make any difference when airplanes land from the other side of London ??? So nice and quiet :-) Please Boris Johnson, open your Estuary Airport, and let's forget about this Worst-Possible-Located-Heathrow Airport !
  13. Hi guys, Just moved into East Dulwich, and I like my wine, but am on a tight budget. I wonder where on Lordship Lane do you think I can get a good wine for less than a fiver? Thanks :)
  14. The timber merchants on Barry Road / Underhill Road are leaving. Does anyone know what will replace it ? What would you like to see there ? What about a local supermarket ?
