  1. Thanks-just had a read of the article. I recently bought the pfilates dvd (pelvic floor pilates) as I have a mild prolapse due to a ventouse delivery. Just started the 'Learn These Movements' section before going onto phase one. So far, I find it easy to engage the pelvic floor in the Learn These Movements section which is good because I feel like I'm getting a good pelvic floor workout. Anyone else used this dvd?
  2. Thanks for replies. Didn't think of eBay-will check that and also Mothercare. Thanks again.
  3. Need to replace the rain cover on our toddler's buggy as it has a huge rip on the side. We bought our buggy from Europe and the rain cover came with it. Looked on-line but they don't sell replacement cover for the buggy. Wondered if there is a one size fits all/universal rain cover that I could purchase somewhere?
  4. Thanks ladies. I checked out Sali Hughes and cannot believe I didn't know about her! Much appreciated
  5. Hi, I usually buy Origins Have a Nice Day face cream for oily/combination skin but it has now been discontinued. I'm now on the hunt for a day cream to keep my oily skin under control and moisturise it for the autumn/winter months ahead. Any suggestions please as I'm lost without my trusty cream that I've used for years! Thanksxx
  6. Went to a&e yesterday and got checked out. There is no blood clot thankfully.just some muscular tension but unsure what could have caused it. Thanks again for comments and advice. Much appreciated.xx
  7. Have an appointment with my gp on fri morning but I am now going to a&e as I'm getting slightly worried and it's now been 7 days. Don't want to leave it any longer. Thanks for sharing your experiences and advice. Will keep you posted.
  8. Thanks for the further replies. I got an emergency appointment at my local GP. Didn't see my usual doctor. Was told that it couldn't be a blood clot as my leg is not swollen. Doctor had no idea what could be causing this and told me to come back if pain persists. I'm not convinced that it could be nothing as I'm not a person who suffers from general aches and pains or a sudden onset of pain. My leg is fine now, although I do feel a slight tight sensation and a needle prick feeling. I will now seek a second opinion.
  9. Thank you for your comments. I was feeling quite flu-like so had a cold & flu drink. Really perked me up. Leg feels soo much better-can only feel slight symptoms now. Will monitor it and see how I go.
  10. Hi, I'm suffering from a sudden strange pain in my leg-upper right thigh. Started yesterday with my thigh feeling a bit strained and slight pain in right hip when walking. It was an effort to turn in my sleep last night. Today is awful. I have a constant throbbing pain in my thigh, cannot raise my leg with ease, feel slightly cold and I'm hobbling around the house. Generally feeling a bit of an invalid. We have just come back from a 3 week holiday and I think the climate change has affected my menstrual cycle. As soon a we got back I had all my usual pre-menstrual symptoms, which were unusually early and today I had a visible sign of my period appearing(if that makes sense!). I was reading that upper thigh pain is one of the menstrual symptoms, although I've never had it before. Don't really want to waste time going to my GP, (although I did start to think the worst that it could be a blood clot) so thought I'd put it out there and see if anyone has suffered the same or anything similar? Thanks
  11. Thanks GinaG3. Yes I like the idea of a constanly rolling paypal account. Nice to hear from someone who actually uses a different selling platform other than the forum, just to know how it is. Thanks for your helpful reply
  12. Hi, I have lots of baby clothing and equipment to sell-all used and in great condition. I was thinking of selling on the forum, but then thought that having an on-line store would be the best way to go. I've looked at selling on-bay(you pay a monthly cost which seems like another debt!), then looked at Amazon sell a little where you pay a small cost per item(pence) rather than a monthly installment. Would just like to know if anyone has experience(good or bad) of any of the above on-line stores and just some general advice really. Thank you!xxx
  13. Hi all, Did my 1st step aerobics class recently and I loved it! I now need suitable footwear and I've looked on-line but had no luck really. Suggestions/advice welcome! Thanks xx
  14. OK I guess I will pop back to Sainsburys and buy the small re-seal bags. Thanks your help and thank you very much vch for your kind offer.xx Goodnight
  15. Hi, Does anyone know where I could buy re-sealable bags? (airport regulation size). Looked in Sainsburys at the small size but didn't quite match up to size specs(20cmx20cm). If anyone has used the sainsburys ones through airport security and were fine, then I would go ahead and buy them, otherwise where would be the best place to get them? Not sure if they still give them out at the airport, but even so I just want to be 100% packed for our journey. If you can help out, give me a shout! Thanksxx
  16. Thank you. Found Vira Soothe in Boots. Using it with Piriton. Not liking the spots on baby butter's lower eyelids. Will go back to the doctor on Monday. Thanks x
  17. Thanks. Will be taking all of your advice. Went to the pharmacy this morning- got some piriton but when I asked for vira soothe, the pharmasist said he had never heard of it so I've ended up with some aqueous calamine cream. Will go to boots for the vira soothe.
  18. Hi all, My 19 month old has chicken pox-(diagnosed yesterday). Not an awful lot of spots on her body but this morning more has appeared on her face and nape of neck. Using the good old calamine lotion, but is there anything more effective to use on the spots? Advice much appreciated. Thank you!
  19. Hi, Can anyone advise me on where to buy a new mobile phone battery? Need one for a Samsung galaxy S2. Looked on 02 website but they don't sell it. Thanks
  20. Hi We're off to Kew Gardens for the day, but not sure if it's really buggy friendly or if we're able to get into certain areas with the buggy. Does Anyone know? Thanks
