I'd just like to say that I was very happy with the recent service provided to me by T&T Gardening. I posted a request for some patio relaying and plant removal here on the Forum, and they were very fast to respond with a polite message offering their services and contact number. I called them and Tom (Snr) came out the same day to give me a quote for the work. Of the 3 quotes I had done, his was the most reasonable, and he basically offered to take care of the whole thing from start to finish including buying and delivering of sand and cement, as well as removal of garden rubbish and a rather bulky - and spiky! - plant. I booked him to do the work, and over a 3 day period I found him to be punctual, pleasant, honest, reliable, hardworking, and most of all, good at what he does. He also cleaned up after himself, even inside the house. When I was around he was sure to check with me instead of making decisions without my approval, and when I wasn't around I gave him poetic license to do what he thought would serve best and I was very, very happy with the results. Hi there, I'm looking for a gardener or handyman or similar to relay the patio at my flat in Peckham Rye. The paving slabs are all there but they're very uneven, I'd be looking for someone to bring sand, take the slabs up, even it off, and relay the slabs. If you were also able to bring a power washer that doesn't need to be connected to an outdoor tap that'd be a bonus. The patio is a total of 350cm x 680cm. Additionally (and separately) I will be asking the person who can quote for the patio to quote for digging up a tree/plant in my border (don't ask me what it is, it looks like the top part of a banana plant, all I know is it's enormous and I hate it). Can anyone recommend someone or self nominate?

A friend came up to visit and I searched on Google, the EDF, and TopTable for recommended restaurants in the Peckham Rye/East Dulwich/Nunhead/SE15 locale, with limited results. My friend, however, had managed to find a restaurant that had piqued his interest, especially as he loves Italian food, and suggested we try Il Giardino, on Blenheim Grove, just by Peckham Rye train station. What a find! Tiny, cosy, friendly, and most importantly, authentic. I spent many years working in restaurants, including one notable stretch in an Italian owned and chef-ed restaurant in Sydney, Australia, so although I wouldn't say I was a fussy diner, I do know the difference between authentic and 'popular culture' when it comes to Italian food, and this was the real deal (although the antipasto is small... but it's not expensive, so you get what you pay for). I was extremely impressed by this little gem in my neighbourhood, almost so impressed that I don't want to share it... but I also don't want to lose it, so I'd rather have to make sure I book ahead to get a table than go there and find it's no longer open! Just... if you go there... don't tell anyone!! Ssssshhh!!

I want some leather curtains, I've managed to buy faux leather off the roll, but now I need to find someone who can turn it into a pair of curtains. Can anyone on here make them, or recommend a place that can make them? Alternatively, is there anywhere in London that sells ready made faux leather curtains?

I recently moved house and after my second trip to IKEA realised I was still short (unintentionally) one dining chair. Unfortunately I don't have a car, so it's a 2 hour round trip on public transport for one ?13 chair! If anyone's planning a trip in the near future, I'd be grateful if you could pick me up just one chair. I'm happy to collect it from anywhere in south east London, it's a fairly light item. Hope someone can help!

I just moved into a new flat and had a problem with my plumbing. My electrician recommended Niko, and without a better option, I texted him straight away. He responded immediately (a rarity these days, I find), was flexible with his availability, turned up at the time specified, did the job he was required to do which included a trip to buy parts on my behalf, went above and beyond both in his work and in his general advice for me as a first time buyer in a Local Authority block and his advice for me refitting my kitchen and bathroom(which I was very grateful for!), was approachable, professional, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend him as reliable, competent, friendly and not intimidating, and above all, a fair price for a job well done.
