Looking for brick paint stripping / sand blasting
monkeyspanner replied to Mn1acc's topic in Request a Tradesperson
Mahon brickwork are the best option by far - I looked at a lot of other people's work and no comparison. They will give you a list of their jobs in the last few years so you can look, the work speaks for itself. The best money we ever spent on our house. -

Internal door - recommendations for joiner?
monkeyspanner replied to Katzenbaer's topic in Request a Tradesperson
do a search for Greg Bramwell on here, a local joiner with high quality, reasonable work with a lot of recommendations. -
Nigello, are you sure it's not one of the many weird and wonderful noises in the foxes' repertoire? They do have a hooting call and seem very busy at the moment.

Where did you get your kitchen from?
monkeyspanner replied to klove's topic in The Family Room Discussion
BTW the sales guy at Howdens ED WILL rip you off, go to Brixton or Sydenham branch unless you want to pay a 20% premium. -

Verbal Abuse/Threatening Behaviour on Hillcourt Rd
monkeyspanner replied to Ronnijade's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Don't expect anything much to come of logging with the police, my sis had a similar incident on LL and a car driver threatened her child, police called, listened sympathetically and closed the case despite her having the reg no. -

I wanted to add that my other half had similar symptopms a few years back. He had a CT scan etc and nothing there - we thought maybe BPPV and tried dix-hallpike. In the end the doctors could only assume he'd had a virus which had affected his inner ear and that he'd be back to normal within a month. However it was 6-9 weeks until he made a complete recovery - so if they rule everything out, don't expect a recovery timeframe to be precise, don't panic if it passes and you're still not better, it took him twice as long. Good luck

Sometimes the foxes make a calling sound to each other which I've mistaken for an owl before.

New restaurant on Lordship Lane - "Saucy"

Hi Jules Are you as massive as you claim and is it from eating too many saucy chips? ;) Will deffo come and test your food. -
How old were they? I saw a group of three teens cruising around there looking suspicious in the afternoon a couple of months back. I couldn't describe them any more as was a while back and at the time wondered if reporting to 101 would be overreacting. They just looked as if not normal relaxed/dawdling teens but they were up to something if that makes sense.

Greg has recently done all my skirting boards, dado rail, architrave and hung new doors or fixed old ones in the top floor of my house. All done to a really high standard and would recommend, he has a real eye for detail and is straightforward to deal with. He's coming back soon to do the ground floor - a longer list so I will update then.

Do you only pay the fee if you take their mortgage? In houseoflego's example, if you find the best deal does broker not get paid?
