  1. My car had its side passenger window put through on Monday morning (4am) and an empty bag was taken. We heard the alarm go off and some sort of motorised vehicle drive off. So could be related. This was in Forest Hill, just up the hill from Woodvale.
  2. And further up from here, there's a skip encroaching on the pavement
  3. I had a family of foxes under my shed. They move out when the foxes get older. So after Summer.
  4. This is why the club needs to be fan owned. God knows where the money goes
  5. Michael Ledger-Lomas Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > You should control your dog, Taper. She's easily shoed off. But is good at approaching from blind spots.
  6. My dog is a seasoned thief. Now we're in the picnic season, she runs onto Peckham Rye like a lion surveying a vast herd of geriatric wildebeest.
  7. A wild and brilliant night. It's been a great season whatever happens at Bognor.
  8. they've denied anyone at the Perryvale was responsible for the Tweet and have informed the Police. I've met the owners and would be surprised if they had anything to do with this.
  9. Like pirates and climate change. Although I do personally believe that one.
  10. You're absolutely right that dog walkers are vital to the safety and use of our parks. So why have Southwark returned to this issue over and over again, rather than just enforce current measures. I've heard that a particular local councillor has very strong (antipathetic) views on dogs in parks and Nunhead cemetery. Is this right?
  11. Not sure I'd support dogs on leads in the areas of Nunhead and Camberwell Old cemeteries which aren't used for new burials. Seems reasonable otherwise.
  12. Yes that's right. This team is special. Thursday (Monday?) could see this great club in the stars.
  13. I heard Jim Dowd is standing down in Lewisham West and Penge.
  14. Good post Penguin68 I'm probably more inclined towards the management of the graveyard as it stands than you. Had I run this campaign I would have pushed Southwark hard, but constructively, to find a good balance between further use of the Old Cemetery and preserving and enhancing what's there now (particular the wooded area). SSW's campaign has become entirely tactical and in the process has become unethical and disingenuous. It has worked to an extent though, as you note. I notice that Councillor Barber seems to have maintained his support for SSW. Southwark Greens. The Friends of DKH Wood too. And even dear old Al Murray seemed close to biting on the WW1 grave stuff.
  15. Nonsense. London is a very green city. 47% is green space, with 8m trees. And if Lewis is trying to condition how freely people feel able to take part in this conversation , then he is relevant to it. I don't like the feeling of him trying to identify me. His intent is clearly to crowd out dissent on the Forum. You know him. I suggest you tell him to stop before he leaves the reputation of this campaign deeper in the gutter
  16. Blanche - I see Lewis via Twitter is trying again to track down the real identities of people on this Forum who choose to remain anonymous; me among them. Presumably this is so he can seek to intimidate and harrass them as he did with two posters a year or so ago. I've invited you to disassociate these actions from SSW before and you've chosen not to, despite Lewis's prominence in the campaign. Can we assume therefore that these tactics have SSW's approval? If so, your campaign is entirely unethical and deserves no-one's support. For the record, I have no personal or professional association with LB Southwark.
  17. Oh Blanche, this thread had died such a lovely peaceful death. And now you've jolted it back to life. That means people will disagree with you and Lewis will try to find out who we are via Twitter so he can try to undermine our livelihoods. Can't we bury this thread and mound it over?
  18. I see Lewis via Twitter is still trying to encourage his followers to identitify people posting on this thread. Do you have a view on this Blanche? Is it something SSW supports?
  19. Utterly disingenuous. Here's the CWGC's statement http://www.cwgc.org/news-events/news/2017/3/commonwealth-war-graves-commission-statement-regarding-planned-works-at-camberwell-old-cemetery.aspx
  20. The flytipping on Westwood Park happened at about 4:45, so could be the same freak. He'll be managing Billericay FC soon at this rate.
  21. Staggering result. Hamlet were so outclassed on Saturday. And then by all accounts battered the Ricay last night. This is a very good team. The best for many years.
  22. Agreed. I was in the wooded area of COC on Sunday with my dog. Very pleasant and it would be dreadful if it was bulldozed over. Equally, there were a lot of people visiting graves for mother's day in the "Wood Vale Meadow." It was quite moving and it struck it is absolutely in the public interest for Southwark to make what provision they can locally, in a balanced way - one which enhances and protects that which is worth protecting.
  23. Predictable though. Billericay have become the very worst kind of non-league club. A rich man's vanity project; which will end in tears, but not before they've crowded out clubs like Dulwich who have been building to this point for years.
  24. This team looks different to the norm. Big balls, resilient, good up front. And a really good bench.
