We're looking for a carpenter to do some work on our staircase and were hoping for a recommendation. We live in a Victorian terraced house in ED. The previous owner boxed in the banisters and has messed around with the staircase a bit to do so. We want to put back a staircase similar to what would have originally been here. Some spindles are missing and the newell post and banisters have been sawn into, but we'd like to retain any of the original pieces that we're able to still use and replace the damaged parts with similar. If anyone knows of a good carpenter who might be able to do the work, we'd really appreciate a recommendation. (Or if you are a carpenter and would be able to come and quote for us...) For some reason, we've had difficulties finding someone who would be able to do the job. Thanks so much for any help!

Another satisfied Niko customer. We had been let down by someone else recommended on the Forum, but Niko came round the same day as I called him and was able to fix our problem simply, quickly and cheaply.

We have an old gas fire in our living room that we are going to remove, so need to get somebody in to cap off the gas pipe. Hi I'm looking for someone that would be able to dig two trial pits to expose the foundations on our house. The area to be dug has paving slabs that will need to be lifted, but I'm not sure what's underneath that. The trial pits will probably need to go to about 1m deep.
