  1. misaddressed mail for the children from Grandad please give your surname and I will redirect TELL GRANDAD YOUR CORRECT ADDRESS
  2. My neighbour found a key household item on Friern Road. Apologies as it was over a week ago, but I was seconded to this while they are away. If you can identify the missing item, we can arrange an exchange. Leave number so I can call.
  3. East Dulwich denizens! Stuck for a reasonably-priced yoga class that you can ACTUALLY get in? I used to go to various classes at a certain venue and fight to get in a week and a half before. Here I can easily get in without booking and it's a lovely space, in a tranquil place, with loads of parking! Emma Klein, Yoga Floga Wednesdays, 7.30-8.30pm Alleyns School, Townley Rd ?10 through main entrance to Alleyns, and follow signs all the way round to back of building straight ahead; can come on spec, or she's on: [email protected] 0779 516 1593
  4. There appear to be several Tom Balls in ED. This one has a granma with surname C**** who lives in Cirencester and has addressed a letter to him to the wrong number in Friern Rd. If you know a Tom Ball in Friern Rd, get him to reply to this or PM me with the correct surname of his granma and I'll drop the letter through his letterbox
  5. At bloody last! The previous electrician I tried wanted to start poking around, investigating, rewiring this and that. Slavek took one look and solved it in five minutes. Trust is the most important thing with workmen. I trust Slavek.
  6. DULWICH TEST & SERVICE CENTRE Tyrell Road Trading Estate (50 yards from the junction with Barry Road) T: 8693 1442 Been using these guys for 6 years now, after a recommendation from a neighbour. They are completely reliable, trustworthy and fair - you know you're not going to get diddled - something I wondered I'd ever see in a garage in London. This is completely unsolicited - I like to pass on good-service stories. John, East Dulwich
  7. There is a window cleaner knocking on doors taking money in advance for a block package of weekly cleaning up till Xmas, saying "I'm doing a lot of your neighbours". I said I'd never give money in advance and he agreed to come back today and do them the first time so I could see how it went. He's an hour late so I can only assume it's a variant on the old door-knocking scam. Obviously you should never give money in advance to someone you've just met, and a claim that he knows your neighbours should first be checked with your neighbours.
