  1. 1st place Cambridge House. Thoroughly recommend. Get yourself on a waiting list now though.
  2. Packs of blank coloured cards from sainsburys. Christmas stickers, glitter from a pound shop. Coloured paper, fabric to cut up and stick on. Make Christmas cards for people he loves? I can't force my near three year old to craft. He's either in the mood or not. So don't worry! Ps: to make it more exciting you can also cut the card into a shape? Like a tree. For him to stick Pom poms (from pound shop) on etc etc
  3. Agree with anna79. My daughter did nothing but scream at sleep times for about 3-4 months. I ended up slinging her or bouncing on an exercise ball/squatting with her to get her to sleep. It's exhausting. But it will get better.
  4. Resurrecting this thread 2.5 years on. Any more companies recommended or comments on those mentioned in this thread? Thanks!
  5. Off the top of my head: Scotch pancakes with a variety of fillings? Mashed banana/berries etc for breakfast? Cheese/spinach/grated carrot/courgette for lunch? Grated apple and cheese on toast? Rice pudding cooked for longer so you can 'cut' it into squares? Likewise with porridge...porridge fingers? Made with soya/almond milk? Flapjacks? Healthy snack if get a good recipe? Can add grated carrot, Banana, prunes etc... Fish fingers? Use white fish or salmon/mackerel... Roasted wedges of sweet potato? Jacket potato wedges? Would one year old dip these into something healthy?u Nothing is fail safe in the toddler world I've found!
  6. Also recommend some dry slope skiing lessons beforehand if at all possible. Not because a dry slope is great (it certainly isn't!) but probably closer than indoor snow centres... but it does get the little ones used to the idea and feel of boots and skis so there is less of a shock when you are actually on the mountain.
  7. Museum of childhood nice. Toys to look at. Lots of interactive things. Rocking horses. Iron filing faces, indoor sandpit, train set with moving trains, duplo table, realistic kitchen and a good caf?!
  8. Sue Bus route here from vauxhall here http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?29,1085722,1086196#msg-1086196 I think the 345 is awful. But the 360 from vauxhall was great I did it from Camberwell easily...
  9. I think Brooks means the solid ones like you get abroad. Which in my experience abroad are great at blocking out light and heat...

  16. Yes congratulations klh! Midivydale, no idea if there are different epidurals. Were you pressing as often as you could? But yes, I ate and slept with mine and could still move my legs...it was amazing midivydale Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Congrstualtions klh!! 17. Piazzola I had an epidural with my first and requested one (in a non-coping moment) with my second. My second arrived about ten mins after I requested it. The first arrived after ventouse failed twice and as a result of forceps. I have no idea whether the assisted delivery was as a direct result of the epidural. My first was induced, back to back and I'd been labouring for over 24hrs by the time it came to push. My first also has a rather large head! I can categorically say that I could not push my first anywhere near as good as my second. But I'd been labouring for about 1.5 hrs with my second before she arrived so I was nowhere near as exhausted. The epidural definitely slowed things down with my first but after about 14-16 hrs on gas and air alone with a back to back baby it gave me much needed pain relief and rest. It also allowed me to eat something as I'd vomited everything. The thing with birth 'plans' is to go with the flow I think. It's impossible to say what you will feel like/need until you are in the moment. It's up to you. You are the one doing it. My first midwife suggested the epidural. The second said no problem to epidural but your baby is coming soon and you can deliver it without one. Turns out she was right!!
  18. Isn't tumble at the albrighton centre on tues morning and thurs afternoon pay as you go? Your 11 month old will be fine there...
  19. Thanks Etta That's really helpful Do you mean these : http://www.micro-scooters.co.uk/spares-for-scooter-mini-micro-ages-3-5/b-bend-pair-for-micro-scooters.html
  20. I saw my godson yesterday on his second hand mini micro scooter that someone gave to my friend. It's quite an old one. Prob third hand at least. It doesn't have a brake so was contemplating sending one in the post. But before I do can any one help me with this: when he rides on it the front wheels splay out at the bottom (about 20-25 degree angle) so the platform goes v close to the ground. Now I've seen a lot of scooters but never seen this. My son's doesn't do it. Is this a problem? Can it be remedied? Thanks in advance
