New Labour had to court the banks to pay for the improvements to public services (the ones the tories pretend do not exist). Sadly, we can now sit back and watch it all unravel!
  9. Is Guildford in Hampshire or Surrey? More Man U shirts there than in Wancland!

Beginning to have suspicions about the person feeding me stuff and "cleaner" may not be far wrong. Lucklily I have a more reliable one who is definitely at the club, but who has been known to tell Storries now and again. FWIW I think the club will go bust before the end of the season.
  11. in all seriousness, this scheme was the brainchild of a mate of mine, Mick Williams. He's been all over telly today and on radio a fair bit too. Well played Mick!
  12. Administration staved off for now at Fratton Park. Thank fook for that, now I can have delusions that we may have a semblance of a chance of staying up! :0)
  13. Sadly they are just too wealthy - which is exactly why he is there. The jury is out on whether Redknapp is entirely to blame. For him to sign the players on the ludicrous deals that he does, then some other idiot must be signing the cheques to pay them. Our problem (PFC) was that our idiot owner (or his father) were flooding their (allegedly) dirty money through the club, then, when recession bites, it all stops. Not a very sustainable business plan. Compound this with the fact that the original Arab that bought us, Sulamain Al Fahim, was only trying to do so with Shinawatra's cash and you get disaster. Hope it does not happen to the Hammers too!
  14. Indeed. West Ham in big trouble if Gold and Sullivan do not come in (I am told that they are waiting on the outcome of this season and that may be too late). Sad state of affairs!
  15. Have just heard a rumour coming from Fratton Park that PFC will go into administration this week. Not sure how reliable as all my contacts at the club now play for Spurs, however, would not surprise me at all. They'll be the first Prem club to go under and will make things easier for other relegation threatened clubs by losing ten points. Not convinced however that they could contuniue trading this season.
  16. 1st Man - we just bought a house in a nice bit of peckham. 2nd Man - Bellenden? 1st Man - Charming!
  17. Judas Out!
  18. Re The McAnns - OK, so if they were neglecting their child, what should their punishment be? Oh...........

It's Hell I tell ye! HELL! Oooh blue sky!
  22. Kham - are you around today??
  23. Mine is a huge puddle! With wet cats swimming about in it!
  24. Just watched MOTD. Nice win for City! Very impressed!! Brilliant clearance from Carvallio (spelling). Pretty amazing. Eboue's goal line clearance from Fabregas was pretty good too! :) 3 Points, Bottom of the Table, no more points until Xmas (maybe) as we play Wet Sham on Boxing Day. Cannot wait for championship footy and affordable prices! Really, I can't!
  25. Never it seems. I cannot believe it, my wife keeps saying "Get over it, it's winter" But really - this is bloody awful.
