  1. Amazing, thanks for sharing! I have noticed massive decrease in people out and about (aside from M&S food and post office queues which remain ridiculously long all day every day it seems). People also wearing masks outdoors must help too - and why not in this weather!?! Keep warm and wear a mask peeps :)
  2. You should isolate as long as you have symptoms as the post above states. If you read more into it, guidance varies but if you have symptoms you can be contagious.

I had covid over Christmas and still had symptoms well after 10 days, so ensured I isolated for longer and even once symptoms went I wore a mask when out just to be on the safe side.

Scientists say behave as though you have the virus and I strongly believe masks should be compulsory outdoors like in other European countries, to help stop the spread.

  3. Why not do something positive during lockdown and donate to life saving treatment for this young man in his early 20s who has a brain tumour and needs treatment not available on the NHS.

If you would consider donating a small amount and sharing the link that would be amazing.

Years ago I posted a link to help a boy with cystitis fibrosis have surgery in the US. He is now able to walk.

All trees as they grow larger have greater root area. Therefore surely they all pose a subsidence risk unless far enough from a house? They simply aren't meant to be planted a few yards away from a house. Trees should be in large gardens or parks / woodlands...

Not wishing to argue but I have heard countless stories about subsidence in this area.

  5. Dear James,

The hospitals are at breaking point.

Why was and is North Cross Road Saturday market still allowed to open without further restrictions (people wearing masks to serve and buy food), distancing signs to enforce and remind about social distancing, and basically everyone keeping apart where possible and wearing masks even tho outside.

Seeing a busy market may be nice and normal but it carries risk.

    Thanks

I completely agree. Make masks outside compulsory. Instil how dangerous Covid is (people don't get it until they have it or know someone who ends up in ITU or dies). Market should be very carefully organised if allowed to go ahead.

I totally agree. It was very busy when I saw it (I live nearby) and hardly anyone wearing masks.

I know market traders need to earn a living but it should have been better policed in terms of people distancing and not gathering together.

People in this area just don't seem to be taking Covid seriously enough.

  8. My youngest son attended Mother Goose and it was lovely. Home from home, good freshly cooked food. Sometimes a little chaotic but hey so's my home sometimes! Nice big garden and they do loads of activities. Old and young mix which is another good thing, as they all learn from one another. Well run when my son attended, with occasional top management interference but that was minor all in all. Lovely caring staff, especially Rajes and Ramona.

    I would definitely recommend it.

First Steps close to Mother Goose is also very good according to friends of mine.

I looked at both channels this morning - CBBC is learning based programmes and BBC2 was over an hour of news, so not entirely sure this is as good as I had hoped!
