  1. I have had extensive dealings with him in recent months, advocating for the rights of elderly and disabled residents which have been wholly ignored in the Streets for People policy and proposed CPZs. I support his aspirations to tackle climate change but not by ignoring the Equality Act of 2010 and airbrushing the needs of vulnerable residents from the future of the borough. I find him dogmatic and his attitude towards less able residents is despicable.
  2. A few extra quid in your pocket is a thoroughly unintelligent, vacuous statement and a serious insult to many longstanding and older residents of this area. I have lived here over 30 years, am 67 and have mobility problems. As a result of nursing my terminally ill partner over a long period and using all our savings, my income is solely State pension and Pension Credit. I live in Therapia Road and there is no bus service to get me to Lordship lane, an accessible station, Kings College Hospital or other necessities. I can't cycle at all and can't walk long distances. Without a car, I can't access food, medical care, buy and post a birthday card or even get a haircut. So whilst a 'few extra quid in YOUR pocket' might not matter, perhaps in future you might care to engage your brain before you trot out such trite drivel and take a look around you at other people's lives and challenges. If you fancy trying to live on less than a Southwark Councillor gets for their annual allowance each year, walk a mile in my shoes and see if you still think this is such a marvellous proposal. You never know what life will throw at you, but don't assume that your privileged position will last as long as you do.
  3. I live in the area now called 'Dulwich Hill' by Southwark. We have all had the same paperwork as your patch. At the 'consultation meeting on Monday I suggested to the Parking Project Manager that Southwark had failed in their Statutory requirements to carry out a consultation seeking views and suggestions from residents. He said that they could implement charges because of this they carried that consultation boroughwide in 2019. It appears that this entire area was omitted from that survey. Wondering if Nunhead was as well? I'm now challenging Southwark on the grounds that they failed to follow statutory protocols.
  4. The North Cross Vintage Store is due to open on 1st May....not sure whether to go and vote in the Mayoral election or go and check out the shop! It's not quite opposite the Blue Mountain. It at the rear of 31, North Cross Road, and the entrance is the white door just round the corner in Fellbrigg Road.
