fewer curry houses - i don't know how many stay open, half of them are dead most nights. i ate in swadesh recently - 8pm on a saturday night. you'd expect there to be more people eating there than just me and the wife. shame because the food is nice but eating in an empty restaurant doesn't make for the most fun night out. an italian restaurant/pizza place serving traditional thin crust pizzas cooked in a wood burning brick oven would make a killing. likewise a japanese or vietnamese. also agree a small indi cinema would go down well. sadly, i expect the rents dictate that new arrivals will be more of the likes of cafe nero and oliver bonus. the two chains i'd like to see depart are co-op and iceland. never use either of them. not sure who uses iceland. it's about as out of place as some of the joke suggestions on this thread for pound shops, strip bars and maccy ds.
