I used Steve Bridges - found on this forum. He moved me from a two bed flat to three bad house both in SE London. from start to finish he made the whole event stress free. He and his crew were fantastic and very competitive. I go them to pack as well which they did in a day and I have a lot of stuff.

I have been with plus net for years. Excellent customer services and competitive pricing. I a bit of a technophobe so don't know much about speeds and downloads but they have suited my needs.

If your not in a car club then enterprise are the most competative.

Due to abuse I have received (not from Terry) I have removed my post. Surely the purspose of a forum is to be able to give opinions. However, it seems as if you are allowed to praise people but not be critical.

There are loads on this forum - I use Terry Clarke - but I'd be surprised if you find anyone for less then ?20 per hour.

i used a guy called Les fairly regulalrly but haven't needed him for a while so don't know if he is still about. His number was 07904195816. Reasonable pricing and very reliable. I know he moved out of London but used to come back four days a week to the SE London area to work.

I've used this compnay before. They are based in East London but go anywhere. Sparkle 0800 015 15 19. They cleared a load of rubble from building works I had done in HOP. Were the cheapest quote by far and less hassle then a skip.

If you are in a flat there is probably one insurance policy for the whole building that you may be able to claim off. Otherwise you can try getting the owner of the above flat to pay for the repairs to the damage which is what I did in a similar situation.

Are you sure it's damp? It sounds as if it may be a leak.

The more jobs you can save up the better. ?40 is a pretty standard minimum charge for plumbers, electricians etc. The only way you'll get something cheaper is to use a handyman. There are a few on this forum who charge a ?20 an hour.

Terry just came and did a variety of jobs - curtain rails, shelves, dismantling and reassembling furniture. Came up with great problem solving ideas when things weren't quite going to plan. Already got him coming back to do more.
