  1. And another vote from me. Kaysie has just replaced a defunct plug socket at my elderly mother's house. He was quick to respond, punctual and even managed to cope with my Mother's dementia.
  2. Please see this post for details of Sage, who went missing from Burbage Road. His new owner's phone number is on that post if you see him. Thanks https://www.facebook.com/celiahammondanimaltrust/photos/a.197411173603083.51821.154255827918618/1777652995578885/?type=3&theater
  3. And another! Dave came out during the xmas break to sort a leaking pipe in my Mum's kitchen, cleared up all the water and mess and made some excellent suggestions about replacement taps for older people too! He's a star. down-the-drain.co.uk
  4. Hi - I have a recommendation for another Steve (07962588326). He has been looking after my elderly Mother's garden - starting with a big clear up and now just pops round when he has a spare hour to weed, tidy up and cut her some flowers fom the garden. He's very much self-motivated so I can just leave him to do what is necessary and don't even have to book him in any more .. he just pops by when he's in the area. He's a hardworking and sensitive soul.
  5. Hi - I'd like to recommend Archie Martyn. You can contact him on 07462 915641 or via email [email protected].
  6. Another recommendation for Dave from Down the Drain. Unblocked the drains at my Mum's house within a day of me calling him, called me to let me kow he was going to be slightly late (as my Mum is elderly and he didn't want her to worry), charged very little, called me afterwards to let me know what the issue was and gave some sound advice about how to tackle the issue should it happen in the future. I'm delighted. http://down-the-drain.co.uk/
  7. Hi I am looking for help or recommendations for people who could help my elderly mother with her computer problems. She's housebound and I am a bit out of my depth with regards to the ongoing issues with her internet access etc so I am looking fo someone who could go there as and when the computer breaks. Obviously someone trustworthy ... Similarly, I am looking for someone who could go round to tidy the tiny garden for an hour or two every couple of weeks. She lives in West Norwood ... Thanks fi
  8. H - I can't make it tonight but hope to do so in the future...?5 is a bargain!

  20. Hi - we've just come back from Sipan Island off the Croatian coast http://www.adriatic-home.com/Croatia/%C5%A0ipan/House-NIKOLA-3984 The house has 3 bedrooms (as well as kitchen and dining room) and an amazing terrace overlooking the bay - and it's (relatively) cheap. The weather was about 26-30 degrees centigrade every day. It's the second time we've stayed at this property on the island and we adore it there. Total peace and quiet, beautiful countryside, lovely owner of the house (who can organise airport to ferry transfer for you) and just the ticket to get away from all the rain! Feel free to PM me if you need more info. Cheers fi
  21. Hia - I'd like to come. I have my own bike but I am terrified of roads so I never go out on it - my other half thinks that the group scenario may be the confidence boost I need! Cheers! Fi
  22. Will there be a class tomorrow? I've missed a few weeks so I am very keen! Cheers fi
