Amazing massage and acupuncture - Deborah Warden
M_Cara replied to maroberts82's topic in Request a Tradesperson
I agree with all of the above! Just had an appointment with Deb this evening for persistent shoulder pain due to postural issues working with technology. My initial consultation was a year ago and now I go to her every 2 months. Her treatments are so effective that I'm sure I will continue with them, even once I have moved out of South East London. For those wary or unsure of acupuncture, Deb can offer moxa - Chinese mugwort warmed and applied to the skin - a traditional remedy for pain relief. She has magic hands and a fantastic sense of humour. If you're considering massage/acupuncture, I say just go for it! Deb is a talented therapist and a warm, lovely person. -

Just had my own experience of rude customer service: last winter Merryfields reheeled a pair of boots and completely resoled my husband's brogues - and neither repair was cheap. This year, after taking in one of the same boots that needed a new zip, he quoted ?40 due to it being a tan colour and said it would take a long time to complete the job. he suggested it might not be worth the cost, which I could use to buy a new pair of boots. I decided to leave the boot with him to repair as they are my favourite, but having a chance to think about it overnight, I realised that it wasn't a good use of my ?40. The next day I came past to say I'd taken his advice and changed my mind. He said the boot was now with his supplier who was colour matching the zip and it would be over a week till it would be back in the shop. 10 days later I go to collect the boot and was obviously taking too long for his liking find the job ticket. He told me I had 'wasted enough of his time already'. I won't be wasting any more of his time in future either! Timpsons it will be. -
Hi there I am an ED resident who has time on her hands on 25th and/or 26th Dec to volunteer for a local community initiative. It has to be something in walking distance as I don't have a car and public transport it shut on Christmas Day. Also it should preferably not be something that involves a long recruitment/CRB check process, as there is not much time left till then! I definitely have skills to offer and I'm enthusiastic, so please contact me if you're looking for someone to help over this period. Thanks
