Louisa The World's End Director Edgar Wright and actors Simon Pegg and Nick Frost reunite for a third film following the successes ?Shaun of the Dead? (2004) and ?Hot Fuzz? (2007). In ?The World?s End,? 20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hellbent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by Gary King (Simon Pegg), a 40-year-old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their hometown and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub ? The World?s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realise the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind?s. Reaching The World?s End is the least of their worries.

  20. Hi Everyone, Thanks for your messages on here and the pm's. Peckham Plex have published their film times for this Saturday. I thought they'd be showing the new Steve Coogan film but they're not, so have chosen a film called The Place Beyond the Pines, starring Bradley Cooper and Eva Mendes. It has excellent reviews everywhere so fingers crossed, we should be entertained. Here's the plan of action: Meet in the Rye Pub at 16:30. I'll have a little sign with me, but I'll get there early and post on here where I am. Leave The Rye to walk to Peckham Plex at 17:20 Film starts 17:50 Back to pub afterwards if you'd like to! Our first meeting last month was really good fun and it was lovely to meet some locals, so do come along if you fancy some film watching and socialising. Any questions let me know. Louisa

I'm just waiting for the film times to be published but the general consensus is to see The Look of Love - a new film directed by Michael Winterbottom, starring Anna Friel and Steve Coogan. I'll post timings on here when they are out, but put the date in your diary if you'd like to come. We had couples and singles of all ages last time so everyone is definitely welcome! Louisa
  22. Of course, everyone welcome! When the film listings come out for our next meet up (27 April), I'll post an update on here, but in the meantime, save the date!
