Neo Nazi poster in Peckham Rye Park (Lounged)

Fun times at Dulwich Leisure Centre on Friday...
SpringTime replied to redjam's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
As a straight man I don't really mind who I swim with though I think I'd rather avoid swimming solely with men... or indeed women. If I felt that strongly I suppose there's a women-only swim in Camberwell I could use as a protest venue. No trunks of course. I doubt I'd become fully aroused... On a slightly more sober note if I complained about women-only swimming I'd probably be ignored at best. -

Missed that one, but I think I get the gist of what was written... -

... and for the record there are plenty of thugs in Antifa who'd have done this kind of thing to stir up trouble and help justify themselves. Not sure if gaol is right for them either! -

This why these people so rarely succeed. Not sure if I'd recommend incarceration however - this feeds the flames for the few inside the groups, and creates sympathy and furthers interest among the many more numerous on their peripheries. -
shocking driving in East Dulwich
SpringTime replied to NewWave's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Yes the driving in this area is I think subject to a decline in quality when it comes both to manners and safety. Drivers not stopping or even slowing to allow pedestrians to walk across junctions on the side roads is another issue, double parking, parking on corners of junctions (understandable for many van drivers of course - but not for more than a few minutes), drivers skipping red lights at pedestrian crossings, people swinging out of the side roads without looking properly. Maybe I just notice this more since I hit a cyclist - entirely my fault. Chap was ok but it takes this kind of event to make some of us more alert to the hazards. Seems to be a lot of really bad driving in SE22 though - worse than the immediately surrounding postcodes IMO -

My last two votes were for Labour and for Leave, and I (should) have no issue with it!

We should expect the Russian regime to be irate. They've suffered close to pointless NATO confrontation for decades; missile systems on their doorstep, a pathetic number of UK troops stationed in the Baltic for poorly considered reasons, Western powers supporting the wrong side in Syria etc. I'd expect them to be flexing their muscles... And why would Putin care about how the UK responds?

Even Boris and Jacob know that though > they won the last one there?s no guarantee they?d > win any others. I think this is accurate. I do wonder how it is that some Londoners are so narrow-minded that they can't see why some many people living elsewhere would vote differently to them. Of course the voting options were far too simplistic, but I think that that some may have voted in direct contrast with London, seeing the capital as largely a remain camp - so almost voting against London rather than just against the EU.

There certainly are leavers around but there are just a lot less on London. (And even fewer on the forum, of course.) Right or wrong there certainly will be rioting if there's another vote. I've enough leaver friends who live outside the capital to vouch for it - and I believe them. What kind of mirror is it? If it's one of those tiny ones that's good for doing your lippy then it's a no. But if you can walk through it into a Narnia-like dimension then I'd say yes.
