  1. We are selling our Phil and teds sport double buggy which comes with doubles kit, baby cocoon and rain covers. Has a bit of wear and tear but had new inner tubes six months ago and is all in working order. Have some photos but can't seem to attach them but if you pm me your email address I will send to you. Looking for ?150 all in. We now live in Bromley (but are still East Dulwich Forum fans!) so you can either collect from us or if that is not possible I come back to ED a bit.
  2. I am 4 weeks post c-section and have a 2 1/2 year old toddler. I also over did it about a week or so ago and started to bleed again quite heavily (sorry about TMI) but after visit to doctor he said i was fine and that you have to do something quite serious to damage yourself at this point. Whilst i felt i regressed a bit i know feel much stronger and happy to lift toddler a bit and walk etc a lot more. Like snowboarder though i am going to try and get doctor to sign me off early (i.e. Monday) as i need to drive toddler to nursery to give me and baby a break!!
  3. we too were wondering about this - maybe peckham rye as some smallish slopes there which should be okay for smaller children
  4. We have a "spirited" 2.5 year old boy too and have had some previous help from a child psychologist due to various problems with him some time ago!! She recommended the methods described by BB100 - a lot of it was around letting them know that you understand they are upset/angry and just talking to them. it does seem to work a bit with our little one - though not all the time - but then they are toddlers!! In relation to time out our psychologist said you shouldn't do it till they are 3 as they just won't understand it and that does seem the case in our house. Hope some of this helps - i also find that the talking to him route etc calms me down a lot!
  5. Hi - I am due with second baby in very early March (number one will be 2 3/4) and would love to meet up at some point. I went to pregnancy legs bums and tums with number one and now i have realised it is on again I will too be going this weekend as really enjoyed it first time around. See you there CAroline
  6. My son goes to Clive Hall on Clive Road in West Dulwich (even though we live in East dulwich) as this was the one i liked the most. They have two outdoor play areas - a garden and another play area where they get out trikes etc. They are open 8 till 6 and are thinking of opening 7 to 7. Some of the staff are more mature and they do have some younger staff but they all seem very nice and to geniunely enjoy being with children (my little boy is quite a handful and they have been really good with dealing with this and working with us to try and sort him out!). My son is extremely happy there and all the children look like they are enjoying themselves.
  7. I second the recommendation for Elaine - she has a really nice manner and really helped my son at about the same age.
  8. My son got some happyland stuff from early learning centre for his first birthday loves it - most sets are under ?25
  9. We got ours from John Lewis and think it was around ?550 for pram and carrycot. We also saw them in a shop near Petts Wood train station. Think you now need to buy adaptors for car seat (Maxi cosi fits) separately - and the car seat of course.
  10. those stories made me laugh out loud and also feel good that i am not alone. My 13 month old boy has so far:- - dialied my brother in law at 7am and left a babbling message on his answerphone - been in his first scrap in nursery - in which he ended up with a bite mark! - pulled off a whole cardboard tray of washing up liquid bottles in sainsburys - been found in the washing machine with only legs dangling out and now he can walk i dread to thing what further pickles he will get into. Agree that sometimes it makes you laugh but other times cry!!
  11. I had an icandy cherry and loved it - had the carrycot and that was great when he was really little. I had a c-section so was really glad we went for this one as is really light. I also find you can store lots in the basket underneath. Must admit we now use a maclaren as the little one is 13 months and it is just easier for travelling etc. but if we had another baby i would definitely use the icandy cherry again.
  12. I now generally give our toddler the same as we eat and have done since he was about 10 months - so i just make a bit more of what we have and freeze little pots of it for him. He likes Chilli con carne and chicken balti - with sour cream added to make it less hot. he loves fish bakes and various chicken dishes we have. I also think a tomato and veg pasta sauce is always really good and make a big one and freeze portions of it. Fuschia - like your potato ideas.
  13. Gina - i can emphathise re the teeth marks. My little man has been a little bit better today so hopefully my tears yesterday hit home a bit. Hope so re light at the end of the tunnel - this has been going on for about 4 months now so when people say it is just a phase i am worrying that it is going to be a rather long phase!
  14. Thanks for all your posts and comforting to hear i am not the only one. As you say gets very tiring and I have already had a number of bites and pinches this morning! Hopefully they will all grow out of it soon as it seems that we have all tried all the options!
  15. I have a 13 month old boy who has been biting and pinching for some time now - we have tried all the suggested methods i.e. ignoring him, crying when he does it, distracting him, putting him in his cot/highchair without any toys and saying "no biting". nothing seems to work and whilst everyone says it is only a phase it is really getting me down and obviously hurts quite a lot. Does anyone have any suggestions about how to stop this? thanks
