  1. We are in processing of looking for somewhere to buy but want to have good schools nearby. Does anyone know what ivydale school is like? There seems a slight black hole at that end of peckham rye
  2. I am new mum and need to get hair cut and colour does anyone know a good mobile hairdresser that if needed could breast feed baby during colour process ?
  3. I have no water either camberwell Grove and had none yesterday as well
  4. Wow I am shocked by the responses. How is it remotely relevant what ethnicity/ background the girls are. Again these are things that you have discarded in a bin. Is there any evidence from all these reports that any criminal activity has occurred. I applaud preventing waste and would be happy for anyone as long as they don't make mess to take anything from my bins. If people in a multicultural area of london are making racial slurs, is it any wonder that nick farrago has done so well in the rest of England.
  5. I live on Camberwell grove and water pressure is awful. There was about a three week period in Winter when I had virtually no water at all and had to go and stay with a friend- Thames water kept on claiming it was not a problem. I am on the top floor flat and so when water pressure goes of have absolutely no water but the bottom flats also have problems. No water again today.
  6. A Sri Lankan restaurant with good egg hopers at lunch time. Also agree with another sea food restaurant although like Sea Cow. Other alternatives would be good Lebanese restaurant or Mediterranean restaurant with good selection of salads, or good Italian. If a McDonalds or equivalent arrives will cry.
  7. I have also fallen foul of over zealous wardens. I stopped briefly in loading bay on Lordship lane. I was neither loading or parking, but checking my rear wheel as something in the road got caught in it and was making an odd noise It was 6.45 in the morning so no one on the road I walked around to the back of the car by the time I got to the front there was a warden taking a picture. I pointed out that I was not parked that I there was a fault with my car and therefore had to stop + it was a loading bay which you are allowed to stop for 40 minutes. He refused to budge and then duly issued me a ticket I also got fined 120 pound for what would have been less than a minute stopping my car! I feel very angry that these wardens essentially have carte blanche to do whatever they want and extort ridiculous fines. By the way I am appealing!
  8. One low risk baby who ends up in the intensive care unit with serious medical consequences which were preventable is one to many, multiple is criminal. Far too little too late.
  9. By all means give your child homeopathic immunisations, I don't think it does any harm, apart from an unnecessarily sore arm. Please get your child immunised conventionally it is probabally the most effective intervention we have- just look at levels of childhood mortalitiy in other countries. As already pointed out in other threads that it is not only beneficial to your child but also decreasing the risk to other children who don't have competent immune systems and your are putting them at risk.
  10. Without doubt a decent gym. When I moved in I was astounded that a place this size did not have a proper gym. The physio gym is seriously overpriced and poorly equiped, Fusion is okay but a bit grotty. I also vote for a Vietnamese restaurant or perhaps Sri Lankan. I also agree an cinema for example like the Electric in Hampstead would be fab especially one you could bring a glass of wine.
