  1. Just a quick reminder for this coming up. Hope to see some of you there!
  2. Join us for the first Wildflowers meeting of the year! Wildflowers of London is a Social Women's Circle for local women, who reside in South East London. What is it all about? London can be lonely sometimes. We would like to make our local community stronger and create a group of like-minded individuals who meet up on a regular basis to discuss themes, give each other advice, learn new skills and more importantly have a giggle. Each meet-up will be based on a different theme and we will have guest speakers/experts who will help to impart knowledge of their chosen field. The events are held at Rise Cafe, Brockley Rise - and as well as the workshop, a buffet brekkie and hot drink are also included. New Year, New You: Stress and anxiety can impact on every area of our lives - sleep; relationships; and if left unaddressed, eventually our physical and/or mental health. Therefore it is more vital than ever to find ways to manage how we deal with stress, in order not to burn out. In this workshop you will learn proven and practical skills that are both pleasurable and relaxing, and which you can take away and use at any time. Session will be led by local hypnotherapist and life coach Caroline Jago. 3. Just to let people know that this has been postponed due to an issue with the venue. I'll post again when it has been rescheduled.

  5. Hi Hugfrancis Yes, I took it a few years ago - quite an adventure! Happy to take you up on your kind offer - drop me a PM. Caroline
  6. Well, what can I say - I'm interested in people and their motivations and it's as simple as that really...you can choose to believe me or not :) Back to the topic, good article in the Graun today: https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2017/dec/29/anyone-can-change-any-habit-science-keeping-2018-resolutions
  7. Not sure what the problem is tbh besides the link in my sig, which is on all my posts - pretty much every other self-employed person I know does the same. I've used the business section before and will do so again for any businessy posts, but as I've not tried to sell anyone anything here, people can continue to engage with the post in the light-hearted spirit in which it was intended. Hope that clarifies matters (again) :)
  8. Hi pato, please see my response to Robert Poste's Child above.
  9. I really like that approach too siousxiesue - keeps things varied throughout the year, with a 'bite size' advantage. Bungee jump next? ;)
  10. You've got first prize so far ianr ;)
  11. Not really, Robert Poste's Child - I think I can probably guess how that would go down. My query wasn't entirely unrelated to my profession however, in that people occasionally come with some pretty unusual ones - so I thought I'd see if anyone in the group could top them. Not that I can tell you what they are, mind...client confidentiality and all that.
  12. I've got as far as putting some weights in my Amazon basket for an as yet unspecified future purchase date. Any more inspiring ones than that? ;)
  13. Already thinking of new year's resolutions? If you've any questions about how hypnotherapy or life coaching can help you succeed, I'll be available to answer them at Bellenden Therapies open morning this Friday. Pop in for a cup of tea or glass of wine, and check out the other goodies on offer if you're in need of any healthy last minute stocking fillers: https://www.facebook.com/events/420708801679093/ Look forward to meeting you there! Caroline ps - if you can't make it along, I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation - call 07947 475721 and I'll be happy to chat at a time convenient to you.
  14. Evening all. Does anyone have a contact at a local (or wider) radio station they wouldn't mind sharing? PM is fine. I've got a fun idea I'd like to suggest - thanks in advance for any pointers :)
  15. We're also on Peckham Rye, and now endure daily 4.30am awakenings from low flying aircraft - it's considerably worse, guess it will only get even more so with the 3rd runway. You can register complaints by emailing [email protected]
  16. Seven bands plus visuals and DJ at the Ivy House tonight, including local cosmic ambient duo Shadow Biosphere on at 7.30pm (doors 6pm). Ticket link, also available on the door: https://www.wegottickets.com/event/327107
  17. Is anyone on this thread up for one-to-one games at all? I'm a 5'3" female, and want to play more for fitness than a competitive element. The Waverley is my usual stomping ground (I'm a member so get reduced court price), but happy to be flexible :)
  18. Oh no, I'm going to miss this one too - I'm off to Siberia. Do keep posting dates up here though, and if anyone fancies anything impromptu on the Rye one sunny evening then just shout!
  19. Hi Strawbs, thanks so much for telling me about this. Unfortunately that night it's the degree shows where I work so I won't be able to make it, but if you wouldn't mind telling me about future meet-ups that would be great. How about a picnic on the Rye one weekend, would anyone be up for that?
  20. Came to this thread about a year too late :-) Is anyone interested in resuscitating a gay date for 2008?
