  1. Hi pato, please see my response to Robert Poste's Child above.
  2. I really like that approach too siousxiesue - keeps things varied throughout the year, with a 'bite size' advantage. Bungee jump next? ;)
  3. You've got first prize so far ianr ;)
  4. Not really, Robert Poste's Child - I think I can probably guess how that would go down. My query wasn't entirely unrelated to my profession however, in that people occasionally come with some pretty unusual ones - so I thought I'd see if anyone in the group could top them. Not that I can tell you what they are, mind...client confidentiality and all that.
  5. I've got as far as putting some weights in my Amazon basket for an as yet unspecified future purchase date. Any more inspiring ones than that? ;)
  6. Already thinking of new year's resolutions? If you've any questions about how hypnotherapy or life coaching can help you succeed, I'll be available to answer them at Bellenden Therapies open morning this Friday. Pop in for a cup of tea or glass of wine, and check out the other goodies on offer if you're in need of any healthy last minute stocking fillers: https://www.facebook.com/events/420708801679093/ Look forward to meeting you there! Caroline ps - if you can't make it along, I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation - call 07947 475721 and I'll be happy to chat at a time convenient to you.
  7. Evening all. Does anyone have a contact at a local (or wider) radio station they wouldn't mind sharing? PM is fine. I've got a fun idea I'd like to suggest - thanks in advance for any pointers :)
  8. We just had all new doors and windows ordered and fitted by Roumen - 07835 080288. He is the most honest and meticulous workman we've ever had, can't recommend him highly enough.
  9. Thankyou resery - glad you're going from strength to strength now, I knew you would!
  10. I'm now doing hypnotherapy and life coaching sessions at Bellenden Therapies - and offering a discount to all members of the group for a limited period. I work with people of all ages on issues such as self-esteem/confidence, anxiety, phobias, smoking cessation and other addictions, weight loss, insomnia, moving forward after significant life events, and much more. If you have any questions ask away, or check out my website: http://carolinejago.com
  11. We're also on Peckham Rye, and now endure daily 4.30am awakenings from low flying aircraft - it's considerably worse, guess it will only get even more so with the 3rd runway. You can register complaints by emailing [email protected]
  12. Seven bands plus visuals and DJ at the Ivy House tonight, including local cosmic ambient duo Shadow Biosphere on at 7.30pm (doors 6pm). Ticket link, also available on the door: https://www.wegottickets.com/event/327107
  13. Thanks very much, Sue and KidKruger - I've PMed you both. Sue, your mailbox here is full, so I can't send my last message!
  14. Sue - I was looking at your page shortly after posting this, as chance would have it - and as you mention electronica as one of the genres you consider, I hope we'd fit :) I'll drop you a line shortly - in the meantime here's a quick preview video: Also just to add we'd definitely promote it ourselves - it wouldn't be fair to expect a promoter to have sole responsibility for 'promotion'! BrandNewGuy - we don't have the resources to put on an event ourselves (it's just two of us working full-time with various other commitments), but thanks for the heads up on your event, which looks very interesting - and yes, great venue indeed!
  15. Thanks KestonKid - but we're really after promoters who put events on at venues, as venues don't tend to run events themselves. I appreciate you responding though :) Now this post has been moved to a section where it doesn't really fit, I'm not particularly optimistic we'll get any more replies however!
  16. Morning all Having performed our first concert in a church in Estonia last month (as you do), we're looking for places to perform locally, and wondered whether anyone knew of any promoters that we could get in touch with? It doesn't just have to be music - as an instrumental audio-visual art/science/nature project, we're potentially up for collaborating with anyone putting on interesting events. (For the curious, here's the link to our FB page: https://www.facebook.com/ShadowBiosphere) Many thanks for any assistance! Caroline Shadow Biosphere
  17. Is anyone on this thread up for one-to-one games at all? I'm a 5'3" female, and want to play more for fitness than a competitive element. The Waverley is my usual stomping ground (I'm a member so get reduced court price), but happy to be flexible :)
  18. Oh no, I'm going to miss this one too - I'm off to Siberia. Do keep posting dates up here though, and if anyone fancies anything impromptu on the Rye one sunny evening then just shout!
  19. Hi Strawbs, thanks so much for telling me about this. Unfortunately that night it's the degree shows where I work so I won't be able to make it, but if you wouldn't mind telling me about future meet-ups that would be great. How about a picnic on the Rye one weekend, would anyone be up for that?
  20. Came to this thread about a year too late :-) Is anyone interested in resuscitating a gay date for 2008?
