  1. Hi I move house tomorrow, and I would like to find a cleaner to come in and work 5 hours to clean the flat which is in Honor Oak Park. We move tomorrow morning, about 7am ish. Should be finished loading the van by 8. Ideally someone comes in as we are leaving? Please send a pvt message.
  2. I usually cycle, I am lit up like a Christmas tree and wear very uncool bright orange.! My mantra is be seen, or be dead. This morning I drove to work, left home about 6.30.. On the way I nearly killed a cyclist. No 2 ways about it. it was dark, a touch misty too. He was wearing black, black helmet too. No front lights and a back LED light that was very dim. Came straight across a mini roundabout. I just didn't see him and I had to emergency stop. He shouted a load of abuse and rode into the darkness... I sat there shaking for 20 minutes.
  3. Looking for some help to sort out my garden, it's a bit of a mess. Needs mowing (I have a mower) and weekend. Will pay ?50 for 5 hours. Ta.. :)

  5. I need a veneer and was hoping someone might be able to recommend a good dentist in ED?
  6. I've done the first hour of the foundation course, interesting method. Most of today's basic stuff I could remember from School but have downloaded 10 hours of the course! Will find somewhere to sit tomorrow with my earphones on and try and get through some more. Fingers crossed! :D

The courses are all read by him, has a kind of 'wise old man' voice.. :)
  8. I've just downloaded his introductory course from iTunes :)
  9. Thanks again, I will give it a try. They suggest that once you have started the first lesson, try reading French news websites and read a French book to practice.
  10. Thanks, I will see what I can download onto my iphone. There are these lessons I've found, 2 lessons a week, each lesson 3 hours long, and for 2 Months. From day one, the tutor doesn't speak English, it's immersion technique and everything I am reading says it's a good way of learning. It's ?300, wouldn't mind paying that if it works!
  11. Hello hello! My life beginning at 40 begins next week *groan* I have my bucket list, things I want to do, including learning French! Just curious as to what method I should use? My partner had Spanish lessons, met someone who advertised on here for an hour a week for a while but it didn't really sink in. Has anyone had any experience of learning another language? Is the immersion technique the way to go? Would appreciate any help! Thanks

    Damn flies!

I thought they must be fruit flies, but everything is put away, there's nothing really for them to get to. They just keep coming back. I googled it and apparently they can breed in drains so bleaching everywhere again! KidRugger think you're right. I've put some apple cider in a jar apparently that catches them too, and will hunt for some fly paper!
  13. The place in Brockley, on Brockley Rise opposite the petrol station. ?15 and they do a really good job inside and out.

    Damn flies!

I have a problem... Damn flies in my kitchen! Tiny ones, they fly quite slowly and don't seem to be that fixated with food although they do come out of the bin a lot. I've bleached everywhere, but a day later and they are all over the place again, I'm going through a can of fly spray every few days.. Help! ANy tips for getting rid of them, or finding what they are so intrigued by in my kitchen??
  15. never ever owned a games console jobby, but really fancy having a go at some of the formula 1 and racing games. But not sure where to start? Playstation 3? Xbox? Any pointers? Ta!
  16. Hello! Looking for an amazing person to look after my adored 11 year old boxer dog for 2 weeks from 22nd August. References are essential. Ideally to dog and flat sit or boarding with you is an option. Please reply by sending a private message on here and give some details about yourself, and your rates. Thank you! :)
