  1. Hello, I came across this today, and while not ED-specific, it certainly puts Southwark Council in a not-too-good-a light. https://novaramedia.com/2019/08/12/we-are-not-nothing-the-local-businesses-fighting-to-stay-in-south-east-london/ see also https://oldkentroad.org.uk/ It rather put into perspective the lunacy of some of Southwark Council's decisions as mentioned on this forum over the years.
  2. Nextdoor is a legitimate company. There is a page about them here on Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nextdoor Its registration process is onerous: They require: Postcode, first line of address, email address, mobile phone number For first line of street address, they wish to confirm it via either a phone call to your mobile or a postcard sent to your address. There is a note saying "We'll automatically mail you a verification postcard if we can't confirm your address another way." I wonder if someone might have created an account and given your address and you have just received said postcard after a while.
  3. There are two near Peckham Rye station -- one small one on Blenheim Grove at https://www.marketpeckham.com/mini-market/ and one on Rye Lane https://www.marketpeckham.com/
  4. DulwichFox, there are at least two twenty-four hour shops on Lordship Lane. Quite often, if I'm up all night working, as I was last night, I'll wander down to one of them to get some snacks for a break.
  5. I thought the same and I have already reported this twice via the Thames Water site. https://www.thameswater.co.uk/Help-and-Advice/Bursts-and-Leaks/Report-a-Leak-or-Burst-Pipe but nothing yet
  6. Amazingly I found this in the front garden of a house on Muschamp Road. The case showed evidence of having been mauled at by a fox. :-)
  7. I dropped my Pixel phone on Wednesday night. Google's find-my-device shows it on Muschamp Road, but nobody's answered it yet. If you see it please let me know and I'll happily pay a reward.
  8. Does anyone know when the Telephone Exchange was built or did you ever work in there?
  9. Yes! Fara Charity Shops -- here's a link to their closest branch in Balham -- http://www.faracharityshops.org/kids_shops/balhamKids_fara.php They are absolutely brilliant -- a charity shop for toys and books and clothes, which will only have relatively short usage and then are ready for the next little one. Give them a look. :-)
  10. Just leave it out front. Someone'll pick it up.

  12. there is nothing new coming on in SE22 at the moment.
