Try Roseberys Auction House in West Norwood. They offered a grand piano for ?1 in their last sale but no takers. It looked OK on the web site. Perhaps no one had space for it. Just a thought....

Hi Ed I had the same problem. Pete Bennison has many recommendations on this forum and he was great. Eventually I replaced the boiler and Pete did this for me. The only problem is that he is always in great demand but he is a good communicator, quoted for the work up front and never let me down. Regards, HHBilly

Pete installed my boiler and came back to complete 2 much smaller plumbing jobs. He also came out at the end of one day to rescue me from a minor flood and he didn't charge for the callout. He is always busy but kept in touch with timings etc. I think he is one of the good guys.

I have been looking at the forum for some time and have used a couple of very good tradespeople with recommendations here. Like east-of-the-rye I looked at the posters history and got some comfort if they had a good record of postings. Having used the forum I felt it was only fair to join the forum and report back, this is my 3rd post. I have also had one bad experience (a no-show) and am in the process of using a couple more tradespeople from the forum. Also I have found that a good tradesperson will also have good contacts so it may be worth asking them. Now if anyone could recommend a good decorator......
