  2. Which proves my point! If you're at your desk at 6.30am how the hell are the Olympics going to affect your journey to work? You'll be passing through London Bridge at 6am. I doubt you'll even notice any difference let alone it being "absolute bloody nightmare." No it doesn't prove your point at all. I drive to work and back and there are all sorts of restrictions being implemented on the roads around here, affecting my route. In fact, our facilities guys are due to send out an update to all staff on the transport/parking issues we're due to face. My job involved visits from the Wharf into the City and back, at least 4/5 times per week. If you honestly think I'll have no disruption to my journey during the Olympics then you're seriously deluded.

I wish! try 6:30am..in Can Wharf just 10 mins away from Stratford..so yes my journey will be affected.
  4. Yes Chippy. I work almost 12 hour days (sometimes more) and I don't need the hassle of disruptions to my journey. OK so it's great that London were chosen to host the Olympics bla bla bla, but the money spent and the inconvenience to many people's daily working routine has really put me off the whole damn thing.
  5. and me..I couldn't give a flying fook. My journey to and from work is going to be an absolute bloody nightmare.
  6. I gave a bee a lift to work this morning. He was sitting on my bonnet when I got in the car this morning..he got off just before the Rotherhithe tunnel. Maybe he's got a hive near Bermondsey.
  7. at least he made sure she got home OK
  8. Does anyone use one of these in their car? I am thinking of buying one this afternoon but it would be good to hear some reviews from people that use it. Thanks!
  9. No. there is a difference in learning a martial art discipline and self defense. My instructor used to teach us self defense in addtion to our training sessions. These actions can be prove to be very effective - they don't involve 'fighting'. But it DOES depend on how you react at the time and of course the situation you're facing. It can't hurt to know some very basic techniques however. Here's hoping they catch this guy very soon.
  10. Also, walk with keys in hand. Two reasons - it looks as though you are near to your house and they could be used to defend yourself.
