  1. Selling IKEA visdalen ottoman. Located East Dulwich Grove on near Townley Road.
  2. Water leak on Burbage Road, water pouring down the drains - TW aware as there is plastic fencing up and a hole dug but water still pouring down the road. Water pressure was low yesterday due to this leak.
  3. Thing is that it is quite regular from Hillsboro Road (maybe different address this time?), doesn?t affect me as I?m far away enough
  4. Really loud music tonight on Hillsboro road - I don?t know how the neighbours cope living next door to it
  5. Yes I?ve suffered with it in the past. I think it?s caused by sitting looking at screens too long putting pressure on neck. I took the plunge and bought the back pod which sorted me out and I use it whenever I get symptoms and it works. It?s expensive for what it is but I am glad I bought it. Maybe try a tennis ball and see if that helps before investing in one.
  6. I have noticed the same and managed to get his numberplate, it is LD65KHW. I?ve reported to Police as I have also seen him riding on the pavement at speed on East Dulwich Grove as well as doing wheelies on other days on East Dulwich Grove. It is an accident waiting to happen and I hope Police can speak to him before somebody gets hurt as East Dulwich Grove is a main school route. Also same location as last years sad motorbike death. I did a search online and seems like he has previous
  7. [email protected] but best to ring the telephone number you gave to get a quicker response
  8. I did but they were not very helpful via telephone. Was told that wardens had already been and asked me what the problem was! I managed to get a bit more sense via email and appears wardens don't ticket vans/lorries parked on pavements as thought they were working on the highway! I replied with an explanation and questioned why wardens don't check and assured that this would be fed back. Disappointing from parking wardens considering the risk posed to many school children using the crossing. Probably easier to just ticket cars than have no one in rather than speaking to someone in person.
  9. Thanks, has been reported regulary this week and workers have been moved on several times but silly game of cat and mouse! Think its the last day today so thankfully coming to an end.
  10. Same again today - man worker having a sleep in the back of a lorry parked on the pavement by the pedrestian crossing, with everyone walking around him and one of the workers cars (red mini) parked on the other side of the pavement. Alleyns don't seem to be interested. Reported to parking enforcement.
  11. Continual pool of water from a manhole cover outside 179 East Dulwich Grove. Thames Water been out a few times but nothing ever resolved.

I'll let you know you know when I get a response. They are usually responsive when issues are raised inc. Coaches etc. However they could be proactive to prevent issues like this occurring. If someone from the school had taken a walk out yesterday or today to check they would have come across both issues.
  13. Alleyns continue to be bad neighbours. Hillsboro Road is closed this week for the removal of their portacabins. However they have not been managing their contractors and its continually spilling out into East Dulwich Grove. Yesterday traffic wardens were called as one of the work men had parked his personal car on the pavement and this has occurred again today. This time a lorry on the pavement as shown in the photo. You can see the crossing lady in the background. Pavement very narrow for children coming home from school. Why dont Alleyns monitor contractors working for them? Wardens have been telephoned but question why as they claim to have already attended?
  14. Like heartblock says every day on EDG all the way down to Village Way, Half Moon Lane etc. Most of the coaches sit with engines idling. Every day there is one that arrives at around 3pm on EDG parked outside the Dutch Estate with engine idling for at least 30 minutes, so unnecessary. Been told but keeps doing it. Yesterday also saw a coach pull up outside Dulwich College, stop all the South circular to let kids off. The schools Alleyns, Jags, Dulwich College etc. treat local residents with contempt - there is hardly any traffic when they are on holiday.
  15. I thought Hillsboro road was closed in the mornings for traffic to reduce pollution and increase safety for children going to school. However, most mornings including this morning it is being used to maneuver lorries going in and out the school. Just saw two massive lorries, inside the yellow gates outside the school, engines on and reversing as kids are walking to school!
  16. East Dulwich Grove full of traffic including all of the diverted buses and cars. Extremely busy during normal times and now is regulary used for diversions whenever there is an issue or a road closure in the Dulwich area. Poor air quality, noise etc for the residents and schools on East Dulwich Grove but the council doesn't care.
  17. Anyone else notice how clearer the local roads are this week? Private schools are off and traffic along east dulwich Grove has plummeted. Local residents are being penalised for traffic out of our control.
  18. Two Automatic Number plate recognition cameras appeared this morning. One on East Dulwich Grove opposite JAGS and the other on Village Way (maybe another in the Village?) I expect they are recording where the cars are going at the junction after travelling along EDG.
  19. I use to study at Exeter Uni and always preferred the M3 A303 as it is a much more scenic route, stonehenge, pig farm etc. Also less miles than M4 M5. However, when we had young children I use to go M4 M5 as there are plenty of stops but it is just long boring motorway. More miles too.
  20. East Dulwich Grove between the hospital and Townley road is much clearer since implementation of the CPZ. I am happy with the outcome. I was concerned that it wasn?t being enforced as a few cars reappeared last month for sale along the road but they were issued with tickets and removed again. Unfortunately the road was a haven for people leaving cars for weeks on end for sale/abandoned etc rather than daily commuters. Seen wardens out again today as well.

Exactly! - There is only really a traffic problem (including before and after introduction of LTNs) during private school term time. If you take a look at the cars queuing in the morning they are mostly occupied by people on the school run. I walk down EDG twice a day for the school run. I don?t even notice a problem when the private schools have broken up earlier and Charter are still attending as most of their pupils are local and walk to school. If this problem could be tackled by the private schools as you mentioned then I think it would go a long way to resolving the traffic problem in the area.
  22. Saw a SUV with gaffer tape over half of the number plate this morning driving down Burbage Road. Wonder if cameras are checked for this sort of thing?
  23. Saw a black SUV (think it was a VW) driving down Burbage Road towards Half Moon Lane with half the number plate covered in gaffer tape around 9.05am this morning. I wonder if anyone looks at the camera footage and realises this is happening to avoid the closure? If it is all automated probably not.
  24. There was a lot more traffic this morning, even prior to the lorry breakdown at the EDG/Dulwich Village/Village Way/Red Post Hill crossroads. JAGS & Alleyns returned today hence the increased traffic during drop off and collection times. The traffic in the area is not a problem when these schools are on holiday but as soon as they are back the traffic returns as well.
