  1. Unfortunately communal bins around here are likely to be abused. For example they had to remove the bins in Sainsbury's car park and Bel Air park due to flytipping. Both car parks were packed full of rubbish before the bins were removed.
  2. Definitely cameras up but they are not that obvious and positioned further back. I heard that they started issuing fines from 1 December enpointe Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > roywj Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > Surprising how many drivers are still going > > through the Village and Townley road during the > > closure times. 3. Yes too many cars/vans like that in the area. I would put in a complaint with the council as that should make them act. https://www.southwark.gov.uk/council-and-democracy/complaints-comments-and-compliments/making-a-complaint
  4. Well I am not sure how highlighting an issue with people beginning to park across blocking the junction is unreasonable? People were able to find adequate parking when the junction was open so no need to park across it, may end up needing to extend the double yellows? Not sure why you are mentioning cycling on the pavement but I agree that it is bad and dangerous but if the junction starts to be blocked then unfortunately we are likely to see more cyclists mounting the pavements to get around parked vehicles. Unfortunately the solutions seem to create more problems at this junction - Btw I drive regularly too and would not have the front to start parking across that junction in my vehicle! 5. Yes didn't think of the schools dropping off either. Could happen at Calton Avenue with parents dropping off for local schools too. Potentially more dangerous than keeping the road open! first mate Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Of course the planters are going to be used as > drop off points. 6. Are you for real? Plenty of parking in front of the shops in the designated bays. Not about being patient as I was in no rush and they were perfectly able to deliver before the closure without blocking the road. 7. Just cycled through the planters on Calton Avenue and there was a van parked across them. Also saw a different van parked the same way yesterday, maybe supplied for the shops? Tried to take a photograph today but the driver clocked me turning around and drove off. Can anything be done to stop this? It makes it as dangerous as before as can't see the junction.
  8. Can anyone hear the loud bass noise coming from Hillsboro Road every night till late, can't pinpoint where its exactly coming from but feel sorry for any of their neighbours as I can hear it from East Dulwich Grove!!
  9. Hi James Please can you confirm when work to install signage and markings for the East Dulwich CPZ will resume as we currently have some roads completed and others not. Please can you also confirm when the East Dulwich CPZ will be implemented as parking and traffic levels are increasing. Thanks jamesmcash Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Dear all, > > My understanding is that the East Dulwich CPZ will > be delayed. 10. I don't agree with you sporthuntor but maybe different for your area. There was no traffic/parking issues where I live whilst people were in lockdown. Since people have begun to return to normality the traffic and parking has begun to increase. CPZ East Dulwich needs to go ahead as planned as will only get worse as things return to normal.
  11. I went past this morning and saw that a car had crashed into the back of a bus and the roof had been cut off to free the occupant(s).
  12. Just ends up costing us more in tax to repair/replace them
