  1. have your baby on several waiting lists of nurseries. you will have the choice later. if you consider private schools some need registartion now {DUCKS} nannies/childminders require less notice, once you make up your mind and understand the costs yuo can look. there's always someone with vacancies. but worth start doing your homework for contract / share etc.. observce around you and ask for feedback and experiences. depends on your working hours, one arrangement could be better than the other in terms of flexibility.
  2. Radisson blue was excellent. perfect food, easy and quick coach ride, nice indoor swimming pool to enjoy after a long day out.
  3. Highly recommended. Marie is such a lovely lady. She came to our house at the exact time agreed on which was very convenient once kids were asleep and I was able to try on my dress. She has altered my expensive evening dress which had a very intrecate sequin pattern with a beautiful and high quality finish and has delivered back prompty on the day and time agreed on. The gown was beautifully kept and carefully wrapped. Very professional lady, convenient service and excellent finish.
  4. highly recommend Hemnes Day Bed. tested and tried and compared to several other products.
  5. not sure of house number, if you walk towards North cross road, on the right hand side of the road. (probably near house number 115, not sure anymore) you will see some workers and you could actually see a freshly built house through the alley ..
  6. I've seen one nearly finished being built yesterday on CRystal palace road more towards north cross road
  7. look up Imaginarium art on facebook
  8. For info I was told this is for over 1 year old kids only. I have to wait and hope we will make it safely through spring
  9. Marriot beach resort in Marbella is amazing. you can rent a 'flat' for a week. you have all usual Marriott amneties [amazing pool, restaurants, health club and kids club]. very family friendly. cost is per flat not per person,
  10. A family photoshoot ! Now that the family is complete
  11. BBC good food books are amazing and very simple to follow. There are plenty of YouTube videos too
  12. I live in SE22 and I'm starting to find it very annoyin the number of people with unsolicited offers or services who ring bell at the odd time. I've got a baby and running to open door to find a person who would like to chat or know a bit more about my household when I'm busy quite annoying :( do you feel the same? What do you do about and how to politely decline services?
  13. Expect long waiting lists for nursery!! Get the name down for a few until you Decide what to do. I had my son in a nursery ( 4 years ago) Advantages: 1- well looked after in a great environment where there is a routine and structure 2- no need to buy lots of toys at home as most will be available at nursery 3- more reliable setting and no issue with nanny beig sick. 4- you know the cost in advance 5- kids get a social life and play with friends Disadvantages: 1- your kid is out of the house every day regardless of whether. Also out on street late with you 2- no chores done at home.. No meal ready and no laundry done! 3- lots of sickness - well it does improve Immunity 4- you wil have to miss work when kid is not allowed at nursery until sickness cleared
  14. Hello Today the bugaboo bee won't fold as the left thing we pull to release the lock has come lose! Where can I get this solved please?
  15. Hi all I'm about to start looking for a full time nanny and was hoping for recommendation of where to start looking. I will appreciate also tips on how to get a successful interview and what to look for. I have specific requirements ( driving licence , non smoker, ideally knows Dulwich..) Many thanks
  16. Hi I would like to initiate my five year old son to art and would love to know if there are any clubs after school or on weekend. More keen on educational and more structured setting rather than messy play ( pls excuse my description of the requirement). I'm thinking learning basics of paintings, how to hold brush and mix colours, difference between water colour and oil paint.. Many thanks!
  17. hello all I have had a planning permission refused in November by Southwark Council. My house is in the conservation area but not in the Dulwich Estate. My concern is that the loft conversion I have requests has been approved for a house up my road ( further into the conservation). Since then I have received two letters through the post from companies offering to appeal on my behalf. Please help and advice on the following; 1- is it best to appeal directly of to hire the services of a company? Who woold you recommend? 2- any advise on how to approach this? Many thanks Hind
