DMW23 replied to tiger ranks's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I see them regularly pulling out of Victoria and can hear them from my office. Although it;s always disappointing when it's pullman cars being bulled by a diesel engine. -
A friend knows a good route by car, takes you round the back of Wimbledon dog track

do any charity shops pick up clothes?
DMW23 replied to sleepy-li's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I get a bag through the door at least once a week saying they are collecting clothes for charity and will pick up in a few days time. Don'y like using them though as the clothes are sold for profit. -
The times have changed slightly for the next few weeks due to the work at Lewisham

I live in Nunhead so went both days, shame about the weather on Saturday. The Twelth Night performance in the Salvation Army Hall was great, not sure I followed the story but the actors were amazing. On Sunday the samba band were great fun and I really enjoyed the workshop, think the adults started enjoying it more than the children. Didn't really try any of the food due it's price and the majority of it being non-vegetarian.

Or they could be paying for the power? Many squatters will set up an account with the board and pay the bills. Good on them. -
I went to Peckham Post office this morning to pick up a parcel and there was a poster saying they were collecting them for charity.

Peckham Rye station closed this morning
DMW23 replied to Annasfield's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Was amused to see my train still stop there this morning and lots of people get off. A memeber of staff appeared looking a bit panicked but the train was moving away by then. I wonder if all the people are still in the station
