  1. The site is now shut, because the builders are symptomatic and self-isolating.
  2. The point of my original post was about the noise, which we are monitoring. Neighbours are in lockdown at home. There doesn't seem to be any good public health reason for the building work to continue.
  3. Demolition at the old PO site on Silvester/Pellatt Roads seems to be carrying on, while neighbours are stuck at home, many of us NHS staff on shifts and most trying to home school. The noise, vibration and dust is unbearable. The builders are all huddled together during breaks, too, and one has developed a cough in the past few days. The work is clearly nonessential, as they are building a block of flats and 3 town houses. Apart from the obvious public health concerns, I am interested to find out how far is the noise travelling - are other people locally finding it a nuisance? Thanks.
  4. Please stop construction work in residential areas. Why is demolition going ahead at the old PO site on Silvester/Pellatt Roads, while neighbours are stuck at home, many of them NHS staff on shifts?
  5. Hi Renata, have this year's 'longest distances admitted' for primaries been released yet? Thanks.

The > nurse is lovely for immunisations too My experience the same as Waffo's: 306 much better than DMC, especially with small children. Telephone triage at DMC CPR just means the receptionist decides who can see the GP. I got fed up with calling at 8am for an emergency appt (in some cases after discharge from hospital on Drs advice) and being told to travel to the walk-in centre in New Cross, wait for Seldoc to open at 6.30pm or go to A&E because there were no appts or call backs available. Moved to 306 when pregnant with baby 2 and saw the Ivy Green team there.
  7. Our Virgin Media broadband on CPR has been down since Monday. Call centre says it's an area-wide problem and will take a week to fix. Anyone else without service?
  8. Noticed the same on Crystal Palace Road on Monday - box open but label still said Saturday.
  9. Our 2 year old loved it and is still talking about it 3 weeks later. The scenes with not-so-friendly giants were a little scary, though.
  10. Hello, and congrats all! Our 1st baby is due in October - both 'old', too :) Px
  11. Hi James, The last round of cuts saw the sub-PO on Melbourne Grove get the chop, with the family-owned shop closing as a result. Today, like many days, the queue at the Lordship Lane PO was out of the door, even with four counters open. If the LL PO closes, too, I'm not sure there will be a service within reasonable walking distance of this end of ED. I can understand why the PO/politicians might put the branch into a shop to save money, by selling a prime site and franchising the business, but why can?t they be straight about how local services will suffer further?
