We are in the process of doing this and it's going to cost ?888! And we have to arrange a gas safe engineer to hook it back up to our boiler after Southern Gas Networks have moved it outside. Total rip off. When I questioned the charge I was told "that's the price of doing work in london". Outside London I was told the charge would be around ?500.

Was in Sorsi and Morsi this evening - great value and food. The only thing is in the evening they really need to dim the lights a bit more! Great to have a nice little Italian locally!

Hi mboutall I quite fancy a window seat - who is making this for you? Thanks!

We were in last night - great food and also decent house wine. I think they've done a really good job with the ambience. I've read quite a bit about it being over priced - I must say I think this is a myth - mains all around ?12-?15 plus sides which is fairly standard gastro pub prices. We will defiantly be regulars for drinking and dining.

Anyone have a contact number for Gary Vu, electrician, please?
Landy10 replied to srisky's topic in Request a Tradesperson
Hi Srisky I am aware Gary is on holiday this week (half term). Maybe try him next week as it might just be his phone is not working while away. -
Thanks Tllm The whole thing is utterly confusing and the more I look into it the more it looks like planning is not required but then why did the planning person say it was! Totally not sure what to do now!

Hello I've recently placed an order to have new double glazed timber sash windows installed on my property. These will replace the old, draughty aluminium windows currently in the house. I happened to be speaking to a planning person at Southwark Council and made a passing comment about this. He has just told me I need planning permission for this! It will take 8 weeks! This is after the date my new windows are meant to be installed. I'm also told I need to include front elevation drawings with my application. Does anyone know a local architect that would be able to do these kind of drawings really quickly and not charge over the odds? I'd really appreciate any feedback as now I'm worried I will lose my deposit! Thanks!

For busy working people the convenience of having a small supermarket right by your home station is a bonus. If you need to pick up a few things on your way home (which I seem to have to do daily given that I have no car so don't do a big weekly shop) it's unlikely you want to trek up to the big sainsburys and not everyone passes the co-op. I personally end up buying stuff where I work then lug it on the train - have a store right by the station will be very useful for me and I'm sure many others.

Old Moo Too, Sew East Dulwich Shop 45 Lordship Lane
Landy10 replied to IanSE22's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Space NK or Jack Wills and I'd be happy! Any business which attracts people to the Lane would be a great addition in my opinion. -
Whilst out having a drink in a pub on the lane I got speaking to the owner of The Patch...sounds like we are going to have a great addition! Opening date update - hope to open by the end of September. Can't wait to check it out!

I've actually seen him there a couple of times too and thought exactly the same thing - that he's stumbled across an open Internet connection. It is a really weird place to hang out with a computer!
