I agree, joining the military and deploying operationally does not a hero make, it's your job... It's just a word over used by the media to suit their own purposes. Unfortunately, this has actually diminished the words impact when used in its correct context...

You know this. An issue to be discussed with politicians, not soldiers, you must know that bejam

How about Sun 13 Nov around 11ish, somewhere around Whitehall?

Luckily not everyone shares your opinion, otherwise I'd suggest, we could all be in a spot of bother.... The fact that you don't consider that a distinct possibility suggests you are, maybe, just a touch stupid...

Not so straight forward for those caught up in the heat of battle and faced with the horrific realities of war on a daily basis for protracted periods of time...

Good for you.. I'm guessing you've never been to war? If not, give it a go. I'm pretty sure the experience would change your opinion.
  7. You can't have it all; chivalry was killed by equality and feminism!
  8. Hi I'm after a carpenter to repair a rotten bottom section of a sash window and would really appreciate any recommendations... Thanks in advance...
  9. I've eaten there and thought it was good... Not sure why it's not busier?
  10. My daughter is a 19 year old Law student who has just finished her first year at Plymouth Uni and is desperate for a summer job. She's a bright and amiable girl so if anyone has anything available or can advise, I'd really appreciate it (otherwise I'll have to fund her summer break!) Thanks in advance...

  14. I had some good food in the Cinema the other day...
  15. Went for food last night, wasn't expecting much (for some reason) but the food and service were great. Now gutted that I didn't get it for free, obviously too old :-(
  16. We went with friends on Fri night, the food and staff were faultless!
  17. I like it, the cocktails are pretty awesome and service is equally good. Ron70

Nope, it turns out that the guy who managed Koz actually owned the lease hold and can make more money from renting it out to another business and moving to Beckenham. So not a local business forced out by greedy landlords after all!! Ron70
  21. The person offering these lessons is 13 years old and I'm not sure whether they have their parents approval for this little venture so maybe this thread should be closed as its probably inappropriate. Ron70
