There are Chatter Time sessions at children's centres. They are run by speech and language therapists, who can usually provide one on one guidance and weekly tips. They helped my son and were able to refer him for speech therapy. He then had the same therapist that ran the sessions we attended at Bessemer Grange.

Hi all, My daughter was born in January and scheduled to have her BCG in April. This was postponed due to the national shortage and still has yet be rescheduled. I called her health visitor today and was told they have no idea when it will be available. I am thinking of trying to get this done privately, but upon investigation today it seems most places no longer have it. Anyone else going through this and have you found anywhere reasonably priced that still has it? Thanks,

I don't want to worry you unduly, but I would request a referral to sunshine house for an autism test. My son was diagnosed in April at 2.4 months and basically had very similar behaviours. He too became a big brother and I too was told by many how their friends etc didn't talk until they were three. It helps soothe you, but Unfortunately it isn't normal for a child to not have a number of words by 2. Early intervention with autism is key and my son has started to thrive from the number of therapies. Good luck.

Brixton often has long wait times, so you can see the Lambeth registrar at Southwark. They are there twice a week I believe. My daughter was born in January at kings and I was told there was an 8 week wait for an appointment in Brixton. They did suggest Southwark and I had her birth certificate within two days.
