  1. Hi any other good walk spoilers in this area? I am looking for pals for golf. I am about a 15 handicap.
  2. Hi can any of you good folks recommend an ear piercing place in ED or local. It's for an acupuncture point so it would be good if they'd be likely to understand that idea..
  3. For all you folks who have been messing around with an instrument at home but haven't found any fellow messers to..uhm.. mess with. We've been going about 9 months now and have a good solid core of musicians across all levels from beginners to pretty good - guitars, ukes, bass players, pianists, violin, saxes, trumpet... Everyone is welcome and the gang are very friendly and helpful to new folks. It's like community choir but you would bring your instruments instead and have a chance to play with and meet other local musicians. Singers are welcome too - though beware, you may end up accidentally learning to play something... There is also a PA to plug in to should we need. 1st and 3rd Wednesday evenings of the month at Christ Church Hall, on Barry Rd. 7 30 - 9 ish, depending on how we're grooving..often later. There is a piano, a bass, and percussion already there, plus a few guitars and ukes, should you need to borrow..all free to use. There will be biscuits!! and tea and coffee 10 pounds per session Dan Maitland [email protected] https://eazypeazymusic.com/band-eazy/ "Now go do your best. Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid. Goethe said that. It's not too late for you to become a person of substance, Russell." - Almost Famous
  4. hi Liane. Are these the planted up window boxes and pots I saw on your terrace the other day.. They were really lovely.. What time are you going to be there?
  5. Hi forum people. Happy Noo Ear Just to let you know I will be running the community band for 6 weeks more at chrst Church Hall on barry Rd, wednesdays at 7 30pm. All the blurb about it is on my website here. https://eazypeazymusic.com/band-eazy/ I know a lot of people were interested in it and were asking me to start it up as a place where amateur musicians could meet and make music under professional guidance, but we haven't had the numbers I need to make the amount of time and labour cost effective. Obviously if the numbers pick up we'll keep going. So if you wanted to try it out, the next six weeks would be the time. Our first day back is wednesday the 11th at 7 30 at Christ Church Hall, top of Barry rd. Opposite the Plough and the libary
  6. Yes. I know it sounds like a bad chinese takeway, but I really do teach and play all those instruments. Music is a language like any other and easily transeferable once you understand it. Anyway, heres the PR: Learning music doesn't have to be a hard sweat. It should be a challenge of course, otherwise where's the fun of achieving. But it doesn?t have to be an endless grind through an unfamiliar universe of weird symbols on weird pages in weird books... I currently direct two adult Sing EaZy choirs in East Dulwich and Peckham Rye, and the Band Eazy community band, and am a Guest Choir Leader for the National Theatre choir. See website for details. I've played and taught professionally for over twenty years: working with many well known artists. I teach one to one, in workshops and in schools and colleges. Guitar, Singing, Saxophone, Ukelele, Piano. From beginners through to advanced. I am happy to sit down with you and work out what sort of music you would like to play, sing, write or all three and then work out a simple plan for how to achieve that goal. In many cases I can get a student into a self sustaining learning curve within 8 lessons. Students also get the chance to perform in my student Jamborees should you wish. Learn in your own home, or in my studio, - where I can also record your performances and compositions to a decent standard - if desired. 19. Hi Folks. THe choir day has changed to a wednesday lunchtime at 12 50 at 192c peckham rye. It is still non audition and all are welcome. It should be fun and invigorating, we will be doing a selction of simple pop/rock/indie arrangements, folk tunes, light classical, and some of my stuff -written/arranged specially for amateur community choirs. And whats more they are now saying singing is great for your health (unless of course you are a choir leader, that is).. The cost is 80 pounds for a 10 week term, or 10 pounds per session to drop in. Should you want a smaller nibble for this first term you could do 40 pounds for five weeks. But obviously with choirs it is nice if people can commit to a reasonable length of time so we can get good at some pieces, as we are all in it together so to speak. Anyway, flyer attached. It would be great if you could let me know ahead of time if you are thinking of coming along. All the best.
