  1. Hi. Do any folks fancy a weekly or bi weekly home poker game? Small stakes for fun and socialising, but perhaps some level of experience of the game so as to make a level playing field. A rotating host, nibbles and bring a bottle..
  2. THanks guys. that's all really useful. I will investigate.
  3. Hi folks, I've had this everlasting cold thats going round for nearly 2 months now.. I have been advised that a B12 injection may help. Does anyone know where I may get one of those....?
  4. I agree. I think the park is too close to too many residential areas to be used for too many loud events. It makes sense in the central london parks, like st james and hyde park..
  5. Come and join our small friendly group 12 pm this wednesday at the clockhouse. First session Free. We're going to be singing a bit of Town called Called Malice, some classic Neil Young and other fun stuff! Ability to read music, or even to be able to sing fancy, not neccessary. Friendly and fun is. 07960 288053. Or just turn up.
  6. Hi Folks. My golf bag full of clubs was stolen from the utility room in our building. A big blue gold bag (a bit scruffy) with various irons and a ping G30 driver and a big berther 22 degree hybrid. Any leads would be gratefully recieved . ' alt=''> 07960288053

Doing a bunch of well know covers, van morrison, bowie, whats's going on etc.. Particualrly need a bass player.. and keys also if any one fancues. obviously unpaid, but friends are welcome and the space is great, with a PA and keys already there. 07960288053 if you think you can help.
  9. We are recruiting should anyone fancy something new in the new year. Meeting Wednesday lunchtimes at the clockhouse pub. And Thursday evenings real time online. All the songs you wished choirs sang: Bowie, Joan as Policewoman, The Clash, The specials, Neil Young; Joni Mitchell, classic Elton, Randy Newman, Nina Simone, The Stones, Springsteen, Martha Reeves, The Shirelles, Cohen, Alicia, Costello.. No audition required; can do fun attitude a big plus. First month half price. Perfect Christmas gift?
  10. Hi. Our Fridge freezer is stuck on full. Does anyone know anyone locally who repairs these. Seems a shame to throw it away when it's just a thermostat problem.
  11. And of course for everyone else.. We do two sessions per week: one outdoors, opposite peckham rye park, in my very large garden; and one online, using special software. This makes the choir completely safe for those who are sheilding, or are concerned about passing on or contracting coronavirus. We are non audition and open to all ages. Lots more details about us here https://eazypeazymusic.com/sing-eazy/ including our online broadcast of our christmas concert - all from our own homes, singing in realtime..
  12. my raleigh was stolen a few days ago. I messaged you.
  13. something similar just kicked off in peckham rye park..
  14. Hi folks. I am bit stranded golfwise. Despite our glorius leaders' examples, I don't want to go driving all over greater london just for a round of golf. I was wondering if any aquarious members need a partner for a round. I have put in a membership enquiry, but as expected there is a backlog.. I know at least four good jokes, can hit the ball straightish and won't hold you up with excessive dithering.. many thanks Dan (or as my chums call me Tiger Wouldn't)
  15. I spoke the guys actually and they were very nice. Happy to turn the music down a little bit which was all it needed. It was just the bass. BTW re expensive house, that would be nice - we are three people sharing a rented flat at the top of a building that is divided into four other flats.
  16. Is it me being an old fogey or is the music too loud? We are the other side of the park and can hear it clearly all day.. kind of wears you down - especially as it's on for 9 days and too hot now to keep windows closed.
  17. ours just went off now.. anyone else? #
  18. Its not bad at all actually. Barely any noise. Just looked like it was going to be a problem when they erected their borders so close to our house..But it's fine so far and looks very evocative - reminding me of that Wim Wenders film, and various Tom waits-esque videos...Thanks for the mostly constructive comments. I retract my previous troll whinge, with the exception of Marumba, who is obviously a, not sure one's allowed to use that word on here, Dick... But at least they've been noticed by someone now, so that should cheer them up...
  19. Yeah. First time I've really raised any issue on this forum.. I heard that I would get trolled.. Guess they were right. wrong forum. My bad..
  20. They are setting up the circus/funfair right outside our house, we live along peckham rye, round the corner from the clockhouse pub. There are a hell of a lot of residents along this road. I wonder if you guys would be as keen on the circus coming to town were it setting up 40 yards from your front door. I don't understand why they are not in the middle of the park. No problem at all in living opposite a park - great to see and hear peckham and dulwich folks having fun, but I didn't aniticipate amount of external organisations that the council would rent the space to.. and of course the amount of noise pollution we would have to put up with.. Wouldn't dulwich park work better, as it would be easy to site it away from residents? Anyway, maybe it won't be that bad. Does anyone go to the circus anymore?
  21. Hi Folks, just to let you know our wednesday morning singing group is restarting this weeek at 11 15, 192c Peckham Rye opposite the park. It's non audition - lots of fun is had (too much some might say).. We've been on a reggae trip lately - most recently doing the Harder they come and Stir it up.. A lot of it is acappella or simple guitar accompaniments.. no backing tracks. All sorts of folks, young old and indeterminate. Most arrangements are original - mostly by myself, some by the choir during our sessions.. dots available and backing tracks for those that wish. Tenner a pop. Last about an hour 20. phew. 07960288053 Dan https://eazypeazymusic.com/sing-eazy/ Ps, I am also considering starting an intermediate/audition evening choir for those that wish to move a little faster and get their teeth into some even more challenging material... dm me here perhaps if this appeals.. pps Our community band is also restrating next wednesday night at christ church hall at the top of Barry rd - like a choir but, you know, a band... https://eazypeazymusic.com/band-eazy/
